Hey everyone I am interested in moving to the USA from Europe mainly for financial reasons. Everybody is always shitting on our salaries here in Europe so I wanted to ask what is a realistic gross salary for a big 4 cybersecurity manager in the USA? I’m looking to move to Austin or Dallas but Atlanta and Florida could be interesting because I’m looking for better weather combined with better salary.

Is big 4 PCS a dead path?

Is there a viable path from consulting to VC? Currently on big 4 advisory track but I have always wanted to end up in VC. Would I be better off trying to attain IB experience or exit to tech and try to make it there first before landing in VC?

Is it even worth applying for an analyst position at A&M with only one year of b4 experience (6 month audit/6 month FDD). My recent reviews from FDD were pretty good

what type of consulting can I get into that pays the best, where I can use my tech risk consulting implementation skills to sell myself? Looking to switch up my career very early on. Also any suggestions on how to get in with genuine consulting firms vs. big 4?

Hi guys! Need some advice on offers: Applying to transit to Forensic accting from Audit, receiving:
1. Big 4 forensics - applied under investigation team, but heard people got assigned to IFCS claims job a lot which is super boring. Title staff 2 and slightly lower market rate expected billable 1700hrs
2. Boutique Econ consulting (smaller size compared to big 4) - senior associate title doing forensics, base 20k more than audit staff rate, expected billable 1600-1800 hr. Any ideas which better?

I am a recent graduate who joined a big 4 six months ago. I enjoy what I am doing and how much I am learning. I recently received offers from two other companies with better compensation packages. I am currently earning $85K at my current firm and live in a Tier 2 city. The two other companies are offering around $130K and are located in CA. They are both FAANG companies. I have heard of number of layoffs happening in big tech. Should I consider making the jump?

So I just started at a big 4 firm in audit few months ago and a smaller public accounting firm offered me to be in their transaction group. Not sure what to do. Audit isn’t something super fulfilling to me but i don’t know if transaction will be either, just not super familiar with the area. I also don’t want to make myself look bad to the big 4 company and leave too quick. Not that they really care about me especially as an associate.

I am currently working in Big 4. I had put down my paper 2 months back, and only one month of notice period is left to serve, I have only one offer from IBM India, I am concerned about the soft recession. Can IBM revoke the offer or the job security once I join IBM.

I, once again, come to you for mixed opinions on advice. Want to exit and get my non-work life back. All the opps coming my way are steps down I feel. SM in b4 does not equal SM in industry darnit. Should I entertain roles (usually SM) below Director in industry and use it as a discussion entry point OR does even talking smaller roles diminish my negotiation point? How to play this? I must be one of few fishes not getting these crazy big tech offers for more como and less hours 🫠

I joined the recent company 1 yr bck, and within a month was regretting my decision. The company culture is toxic, with a lot of micro management and unnecessary pressure. I am looking out since almost 8 mnths, interviewed with Almost all big 4 but got rejected. I have 7 YOE in IT Implementation and project management. Want some suggestions as to what to do next as the major reason of me not being shortlisted or selected is recent consecutive switches. Would also appreciate any leads

So I'm considering a switch from law to consulting, and noticed EY has started posting salary ranges for positions. All the mid- to senior-level jobs I'm looking at are in the $95k to $150k range. Is that right? True for all the big 4? Seems super low. I guess I never thought about it before but how exactly do you folks get paid?

What are the equivalent Big 4 positions at Accenture? Do Analyst + Sr Analyst at Accenture = Associate at Big 4? And Consultant at Accenture = Senior Associate at Big 4?

Received an offer from a UK big 4 for manager. Package is 70k base +4k car allowance. I am currently a SC at a smaller firm (package is 65k) and I have industry experience too. Is it worth making the move to Big 4 or stay where I am and continue the grind?

Hi everyone, I have about 4 years of experience in tech consulting and have an MBA degree. I have joined one of the Big 4s just a week back as a Consultant (15.7 lpa fixed) but after that I received an offer from McKinsey as a Knowledge Analyst for 18 lpa fixed.
Would it be the right decision to go ahead with the McKinsey offer or should I stay with the Big 4 considering it has only been a week for me here?
