i need a some perspective about the big 4 and mbb. i’m a senior undergrad recruiting for consulting and this cycle didn’t go as well as planned. i had an interview w mckinsey (no offer) and never heard back from rest of big 4/mbb. got an offer from UHG which is not bad at all but can’t help but feel hopeless that i didn’t get where i wanna be. i feel like i’m obsessing over the name/prestige of these firms even though ik there’s so much more out there than the name of your company and i’m young

How did you know it was time to move firms? There are things I like and things I currently dislike about my firm and considering a move to a smaller, but, still national firm to see if there truly is greater WLB. Did anyone make the move from Big 4 to a national firm and regret it? Does big 4 “prestige” ultimately matter in the long run if I ever decided public accounting isn’t right for me long term?

FDD Campus hire a big 4 firm. What’s the best path to make 200-300k within 5-10 years? Ignoring wlb.

Currently accepted an internship at a firm for the winter and also just accepted a separate internship over the summer with a B4 firm. Should I inform the other firm that I already accepted a later internship with a B4 firm or keep it to myself until the internship is over? They are totally different positions and I wanted to have some experience with both but worry they will take it wrong.

I’m a 3rd year at one of the Big 4 (2020 grad) and have been debating whether it would be wise to lateral to Littler. I want to ultimately be at a v100 law firm with market salary at some point; however, I haven’t had much success with lateraling directly from Big 4 to v100 (Paul Hastings, Morgan Lewis, etc.). Any thoughts on sticking it out until an opportunity arises or lateral to Littler in the interim.
