Anyone here has a Chase sapphire reserve credit card? Is it worth it?

Due to political/military issues I can no longer use my flight tickets I purchased with Chase Sapphire Preferred. They can’t be refunded or changed with the airline. Any legit way I could get refund from Chase?

Does anyone have both the CSR and Amex Platinum? Does it work out nicely or do they dilute themselves? I’m currently a CSR guy but saw Amex’s 150k point bonus

I have the CSR and will be flying more for work. Primarily Delta since based out of UT. I want a card that will get me Delta Lounge access. Recommendations? As of now Between Amex Plat or Delta skymiles Reserve through Amex

Have some big purchases coming up and would like to open a new travel credit card. We already have chase sapphire preferred and Amex platinum doesn’t seem worth it to us as we likely won’t use up all the benefits. Any other recommendations?

Was planning on going to Hawaii next summer. Opened the Chase Sapphire card and got 100,000 chase points last year. Plan is to convert to Hyatt and use those for hotels. Trip now got delayed a year or so. Does it make sense to cancel the card and wait for the next good chase bonus and do the same thing? Should I leave all them as Chase points or convert to Hyatt sooner?

I have a $6K bill that codes as travel for the World Cup accommodations and can’t decide what are to use. I have the CSP 2X, looking at maybe upgrading it to the CSR for 3x plus the 50% bonus points or the or the Cap1 X. Can’t decide best value in return. Or open up a new one?

Considering leaving my current job. I have been with this company 2years. I started in a CSR role and quickly moved into comm. AM role. I am the only comm AM in the company and I also manage the personal lines for our comm clients. We recently did a restructure and now all AM’s make the same- regardless of experience or longevity with the company. Someone with NO experience makes what I make. I’ve had a convo but was told “your bonus is differently“ am I wrong for wanting to leave?

Now that I’m trying to get more into the points game and diversify, I’m wondering if it would be worth it to upgrade to CSR and get one of those freedom card for more daily usage. What are your thoughts?

I don’t travel too much so don’t think I can justify Amex Plat even tho the equinox credit is tempting 🙃 But I do definitely spend more than $300 every year on flights….

Just got the CSR card. Debating whether to continue using my AX Blue Preferred (6% groceries, 3% gas), CapOne Savor (4% restaurants), Hilton AX for hotels only (no annual fe, and Bonvoy Visa for hotels. Continuing to pay for the Bonvoy is nice since it gives a free night every year. Also continuing to pay for AA and UA cards for the free luggage check and priority boarding, but don’t use them otherwise. I feel like I’m paying a lot of annual fees now and there’s something to consolidate here.

For rides....whats the best way to maximize points/$$....I'm not mathing well today

Should I be using Lyft for 10x points with Chase Sapphire Reserve or Uber for the Uber cash? Or another play?

For McK Amex card, is it worth it to upgrade to Gold/Platinum if you already have a Chase Sapphire Reserve card, or pay the $90 to accumulate the pts while sticking with Green?

I have a very expensive flight I have to buy to New Zealand and I’ve been monitoring prices for months now with no success. I have a chase sapphire reserve it and I will buy it with that, my major concern is the ticket availability and price is much better with third-party booking sites. I feel pretty constrained with the tickets with the airline directly are double the price, any advice or recommendations for buying with third parties?

I’ve been a CSR for just over 20 years and with my current employer for 7. I like the company and when I discuss advancement with mgr, they seem very supportive but when it comes to it, something gets in the way and they don’t want to let me go. I’d like to advance to something else, but what?! I’m always the “go-to” person, eager to help, known for going above and beyond, always training the new hires etc… any ideas would be appreciated

I already have AMEX Gold. I have a trip coming up where I’m budgeting approximately $3,000 in flights, hotels, and food. Should I charge everything on my AMEX Gold or is it worth opening up a Venture X? I don’t want the CSP or CSR.

CSR Question -- I see people often say not to book flights through the rewards portal because you still get the multiplier when booking on the airline's website, but that's not true right? You get 5x on flights booked *through* the portal and but you don't get 5x when booked regularly through the airlines website.

Is my understanding correct? Besides the whole thing about going through a third party, is there really any downside to booking through the rewards portal? Seems much better
