Chase Sapphire

Going on a trip with a group in 3 months and putting $10K on my credit card for everyone. Between the AMEX gold and chase sapphire preferred, what would be the best card to put this on? Don’t care about the points, more so asking about better purchase protection if anything goes wrong or has to change. TYI!

I travel for work each week and stay at Marriotts. Am I stupid for having the Marriott AMEX and Chase CSR? Shelling out $1k/ year in fees

Looking at getting a new card. Realistically, how important are the card’s transfer partners? Venture X is enticing since it’s lower fee and I already have the Venture One, but the hotel and airline transfer partners aren’t that great. Amex Platinum and CSR are more $ but better transfer hotel and airline partners.

CSR question - I have been accumulating points for years and following a Covid travel lull will finally be using my points. I was annoyed AF to learn that I can’t use my points to book a hotel room through the Luxury Hotel & Resorts collection (and thereby get the benefits that come with, including the free breakfast credit for two and $100 property credit). I currently have the Chase sapphire preferred and Hyatt credit cards. I mainly use the Hyatt just for its perks when I stay there and transfer my chase points to Hyatt since that is the hotel I am loyal to. I typical save my points for hotels as Hyatt has fantastic redemption. I am thinking of adding the Amex gold to the mix. Thoughts on that combo?

Not law related, but does anyone here have multiple travel credit cards? Can't decide if I want to get the Amex gold too or just stay with my chase sapphire and max all my points on that card.

For those who opened up several very expensive credit cards while on active duty to have them paid under SCRA, what cards did you keep, did you simply downgrade others instead of closing them, and how long did it take the banks to realize that you’re no longer on active duty to start charging you annual fees? I leave AD at the end of Nov, I have the amex platinum (of course), chase sapphire reserve, and amex bonvoy brilliant.

Since I got the chase sapphire preferred card ~1 year ago, I can’t get another Chase CC and get the signup bonus until after 24 months?

If not, can I get a different CC and still get the signup bonus (e.g. Amex, Citi, Cap One, etc)?

I currently have the CSR and CSF cards but am looking to switch away from Chase permanently due to some absolutely terrible customer service experiences (multiple in the last year). I have been a Chase customer for over 8 years but am done with them now.

I am looking for good travel/dining cards but also for general purchases (which is why I used CSR for travel and CSF for everything else. I am open to using multiple cards or 1, whichever makes the most sense. Any recommendations?

Credit card advice? I have to get a new card (my choice) for work at a small firm. Will be used for travel (hotel and flights), food while traveling, and office expenses / set up (desk, monitors etc). Can’t use personal cards so need new one just for this job. When considering credit cards and rewards programs, is it better to generalize (cap one venture x, CSR) or be specific/loyal to certain companies, hotels, and airlines? Having a hard time deciding which route to take

Do I upgrade my chase sapphire preferred to the chase sapphire reserve, or get the Amex platinum? I fly about once a month, eat out 1-2 times a week, stay in hotels about 4 times a year (usually 2-3 nights each stay). Don’t have an airline that I fly the most but if I am able I prefer delta. Amex seems like the better option but would love to hear any thoughts you may have.
