And…Element vs Autograph collection in general? Not real familiar with these sub brands.

Booked a week long stay with Bonvoy points over 2 weeks ago and the points still haven’t been deducted. Has it happened to anyone?

Currently working on plan C of a honeymoon as we don’t expect to be able to go Europe in June/July as hoped. Plan A and B were variations of Italy (relax) and Spain (mountain biking). Hoping to use bonvoy points. Any US centered suggestions? Maybe refocusing on golf/warmth/spa/food now.

I was a loyal Amex SPG cardholder that migrated to Amex Bonvoy ($450 annual fee - which is really $150 after the $300 Marriott spend credit) ... we charge all personal expenses to this card (over $75K/yr). I feel that Bonvoy Platinum Elite status and a free night per year are nice, but are there better cards that have better rewards? Our other card is Costco Visa (for Costco purchases or for places that don’t accept Amex).

Do we loose all the Marriott bonvoy points if I close my chase Marriott credit card ? Don’t see the need to pay $95 when there is no travel for the foreseeable future.

My cousins, their families, and I are all planning a quick trip to the mountains. Because of the way availability for our Airbnb worked out, we have to get a hotel the first night. All my cousins and their spouses decided to opt for a cheaper Best Western hotel while I have Bonvoy points I want to use...and also don’t want to stay in a BW. They’re upset with me bc I’m staying somewhere different....For that one night. Am I wrong to choose Marriott bc it’s more convenient for me?

So far my solutions are high mpg vehicle to maximize profit on the 57 cent per mile standard and the American Express Hilton Honors credit card to gain points after the company reimbursement.
