Accenture sent a rejection for application email Thursday but I just received an email inviting me to phone screen. Anyone been successful in scheduling an interview and securing a role. Not sure what to make of this.

Any advice on transitioning from a mid-tier firm to say a Big4/Accenture?

Of course, networking and interview prep is already on the list, and I'm learning Data Analytics skills like SQL and R, Tableau, and Power BI. Any other tactics or advice that any of y'all would have to make a successful transition?

At what point do you tell a company you're interviewing with to stop wasting your time? Already had phone screen, zoom interview #1, assessment, and have zoom interview #2 scheduled for Friday afternoon. HR just reached out to schedule zoom interview #3 tomorrow and #4 Friday morning. I think if they ask for a 5th, I'm dropping.

Any advice on how to excel in an in person consulting final round interview? Have done multiple online but never in person. Assume it will be similar but just want to make sure everything goes smoothly.

Need some encouragement. Left consulting a few months ago to go to a startup. Took a major pay cut, only to be included in some layoffs last month. I’ve been applying for jobs well within or below my expertise/leveling and can’t even get a call back. But I’m in the offer stage for another Startup, I don’t even want to entertain the offer because of this experience at a startup.

How’s working for Deloitte smart factory? What kind of projects and work do y’all do? I have an interview for a cloud architect. The company works very closely/partners with Smart Factory.

I have been interviewing with Capital One for a senior business analyst position in their US card division. Im currently a second year analyst at D. Should I stay at D until I hit Consultant in the spring so I can maximize role/pay? Would I still be a senior biz analyst moving from a C? Thanks in advance for any help

Just got extended for 8 more months. Suuuuuuper boring, 10-15 hour work week. Was going to jump ship after Manager promo. With slow down, guess I’ll hang tight until next summer. What do you all think: apply and interview for industry or play video games and watch TV?

Can you ask to expedite the hiring process for a final round interview (to an earlier date) if you already received an offer from another firm? Company A is dragging their feet but got an offer from Company B but I really want to work for company A.

If possible how can you phrase this without being rude.

Had an initial hr screening with one of the Big 4. They decided to move forward with me and give me a case study and asked me when I wanted to start the case study. I said a week later as I'd just arrived from abroad and was badly jetlagged and needed time to recover. They said that was perfectly ok and that they'd send it today at 5PM ET. Well it's nearly 7 PM ET ans I haven't received it. I emailed them at 6. Could they just be blowing me off?

6 YOE ERP implementation at a smaller consulting firm (on prem, no cloud experience) and not even getting to interview phases of applications for Big 4 and others. What am I doing wrong?

Final stages of interviewing for a job I am really excited about outside of current industry. Very mucha t the beginning of my career (2 YOE) - built up the courage to ask a *trusted* senior manager for a reference who happily said he „would be honored“. Now, a week later he calls because they reached out to him, telling me that he cant give me a reference after all because its a „conflict of interest“. Has this ever happened to someone? I am feeling incredibly betrayed. Am I being naive?

Can anyone at KPMG help me understand this recruitment email? I was referred, and unfortunately continue to receive rejection emails. Today, I received an email wanting me to fill out an online application and it also provided info on the independence policies as I “move forward to the interviewing process.” It’s just weird because there’s no role listed, no description or anything….

I am interviewing for a strategy consulting firm. A partner who did not like me from my firm has moved there. There is no correlation in our plans, just a coincidence. The firm is a big 4. The practice will be large but he will unfortunately be in it. What should I do?

Seeking advice: I am director of recruitment for a third party recruiting company. I interviewed someone Thursday for a COO position at one of the companies and was then to present him to the company. The candidate had a $200 chocolate tray delivered to my apt door on Friday - he had asked someone in the community for our address to say thank you. I had my final interview for a role I really want on 09/06 the recruiter got back to me last week saying that I did well on my interviews and that they’d get back to me with a decision in few days.. how long should I wait before following up again?

I really want to get into consulting but I'm just not getting offers (several firms have said they want to hire me but don't have projects to put me on or projects were put on hold during my interview process). Anyone have suggestions on industry jobs that I might also want to look at if my goal is to find a role that allows some face-to-face interaction/travel, project leadership, problem-solving, and significant career growth and networking opps?

Originally interviewed for a Manager position but joined as a SC due to no consulting experience. After two years of highest rated performances, they still wouldn’t promote me because I don’t meet their certification requirement within the risk advisory practice (I don’t have CPA and not planning on getting one).. Should I consider moving to a different firm?
