Anyone at capco? Got reached out to for a potential role. At the consultant level at ACN, what’s the corresponding level at capco? What’s the salary difference between CO/SC in NYC?

Are there benefits to staying at a consulting firm for more than a year if the exit opportunities offer more? Analytics consultant here, looking to be earning about 90k next year. I think I could make 120k in industry, but I could probably exit closer to 160 in about 5 years. Am I foolish for thinking it’d be better to stay given the learning opportunities?

I'm going for an internal position switch to strategy consultant in advanced analytics.

The internal switch requires a normal interview 30' talk about motivations, strengths, ... And a case interview.

Some competitors search for 'creative' ways of tackling the first minutes of the 30' talk by creating eg. a video where others present the candidate.

How is this perceived by hiring managers, and if perceived good, what other ways are great?

Keen to know whether it ended up feeling like a step down/starting over? Only asking as a lot of recruiters are approaching me for ODD analyst roles and I’m not sure whether I should play hardball for an associate/AVP type role.

Interviewed w/Google for Cloud Consultant in Chicago. Leveled at L5 and referred for approval and comp cmte. Recruiter provided midpoint for position at 160-170k TC. Seems low even for position/city.

My current project role as “Consultant” is extremely broad - its a mix of project management, SWE, product management - what should I put on a resume as a title for this particular assignment? Do I just put consultant even though that is generic? Not sure what best practice is....

24 year old senior consultant in corporate tax, on track to become a manager next July. Only thing is I don’t want to be in tax for the rest of my career.. any good exit paths that anyone can recommend? Does Accenture HR have the final say in consultant salaries? The hiring manager (MD) supported my salary negotiation and asked me to request through HR. Then HR told me No. The MD can't do anything.
