Management consultant evaluating an offer from Google’s Go-to-market team (Strategy & Operations) in India. Two questions:
1. Given it’s an internal consulting role, are the hours equally bad / worse than consulting firms?
2. Is it virtually impossible to move to a product ladder after spending 1-2 yrs in the role?

How do you know if a promotion might be coming your way soon? Do you ask? Will your manager tell you? I’ve taken a few interviews and would would take an offer elsewhere, unless I knew that I might be up for a promotion (to manager level) soon. I’m a sr consultant about to hit 1 year at a boutique firm, with 5 YOE total and a Masters. If my firm promotes me I’d prefer to stay rather than the same position elsewhere.

I’ve got verbal offer from both PwC and Deloitte for the Workday Financial Role; Deloitte as a Senior Consultant and PWC as a Senior Associate..I need ideas on which to choose in terms of Pay, Career path, Work Culture and any other relevant information. Thank you!

Any insight or tips on first round at Deloitte (Phone screen with recruiter)....? Operations Transformation Consultant (Healthcare) role...going in with 5Y of industry experience. It would help to get insight on sample projects or typical interview questions!

What kind of exit opportunity exists for consultant level (after 2 years of analyst experiences)

Is anyone hiring? Strat Consultant at Accenture with 4 YOE in M&A and Org Design. I just want something new with a new firm, the new re-org has just made things weird with the different functional groups.

Are Transformation roles in industry worth it?

I have about 5 yrs of experience (1.5 YOE in consulting, Senior Consultant level) and I’m thinking of leaving consulting for a permanent role in industry doing internal transformation. I feel like I’m underpaid and the promotions are super slow and unlikely due to Covid.

Could anyone please help provide any thoughts on the pros and cons of doing internal transformation projects in industry? How do different industries compare? Thanks for sharing!

Recently received an offer from NTT Data for a management consulting role (consultant level - 2 YOE at big4) out of Charlotte. Does anyone have insight into working @ NTT? Typical projects? What to expect with travel, etc? I know they have a presence in FS / banking, but not sure if they’ve grown into other industries. Would rather travel vs working for a client in Charlotte.

Anyone familiar with the Chief of Staff role? What YOE would it be most relevant for? Would it be considered a good exit for a strategy consultant aiming for senior management?

How do you list multiple titles/role within the same firm on your resume? E.g.
Manager 2018-Present
Snr Consultant 2016-18
Consultant 2013-16

Or Consultant-Manager 2013-Present?

I am interested in pivoting from an agency into a traditional business consultancy role. I have start-up tech experience and four years of Strategy experience for media clients. Are there any projects folks in consulting would recommend I take on to add to build on to a resume? From the outside looking in, it seems like there is an overlap in the core competencies of a strong strategist at an agency and a consultant.

What’s a good exit for supply chain? I have an undergrad and masters in supply chain management from top ranked supply chain programs. 3 YEO in industry, 1 YEO SC software consulting, 1 YEO boutique consulting. Currently making 100k TC in a senior consultant role. Any exit suggestions?

Making a move from Deloitte US to Deloitte Canada due to visa issues. I am a third year consultant who was up for SC this year with great mid year review. HR is asking salary and role expectations. Would it be fair to ask for a SC role with a pay of 90k CAD ?
