Advice for a Cyber consultant looking to do Product Marketing or Product Analyst role? I’ve been in a BA role for 2.5 years looking with a business undergrad degree.

SAP Function consultant at big4 or HR tech consulting at big4? HR tech role specializes in strategy, vendor selection, and optimization. Anyone know which will have better exit oops / career progression?

Current role: Entry level cyber consultant, ~1 YOE post grad, 75k, leadership has floated the idea of early promotion to senior in May (for whatever that is worth)

Opportunity: boutique CRM firm at a senior consultant level, 100k

What’re the bowl’s thoughts? Better to stay at a larger firm with more potential long term growth, or switch now for the immediate pay bump and more start up vibes meaning potential rapid leadership position?

Is hiring an admissions consultant worth it if you have below average stats (~3.5 gpa, 324 GRE) while applying to a top 5 school (e.g. HBS) but have a good story (I was the first person from my small public high school to attend Dartmouth, athlete, tap danced competitively even though I’m a guy, lots of volunteer work, went through Y Combinator, and built a company from my basement to a $30M+ valuation). In round 1 I got a MIT interview, don’t know how it went because it seemed short.

I asked for a 115k for a Sr Consultant position with Deloitte. Currently a consultant with MA in org development and 4 years or experience! Done all the interviews waiting to hear from the recruiting. Is that good amount? And should I ask for a signing bonus if they offer? Thanks all

Recently got an offer with NVIDIA as a data scientist. Was a second-year senior consultant at Deloitte Advisory, on track to manager position. Didn’t like the work and decided to quit. The NVIDIA package is pretty good but just wonder what advisory managers usually get paid on average (in Bay Areas). Glassdoor say 120k but I have some doubts. Appreciate any inputs!

Currently Senior Consultant at Capgemini Invent in Europe. Got an offer from Deloitte Financial Advisory. Same position, +20% total comp. Reputation and exit options should be way better at Deloitte, aren’t they? Any showstopper or blockers why I should not go for it?

Recently I got referred for a consultant role at BCG by a senior director of the knowledge management area (I did an internship). I applied, but after going through the application I got worried that I don’t have a GMAT score and I don’t come from a top tier school (MBA). Do you guys think I have a chance? Interviewed for an L6 Sr. Program Manager Position at Amazon ($175TC) and didnt get it. I was asked if I would be interested in an L5 Program Manager role ($130TC). Im not sure if I should take it, or hold out for something better.....I’m currently a consultant at a boutique firm making $100k TC. I have 5YOE and a masters. It would be nice to make an exit from consulting, but I don’t want to settle if I can find better.

Interviewing for a Business Transformation (public sector) in DC. Senior consultant position, 4 YOE - is 110k a good ask? Maybe a range of 110-115?

Also, Should I be asking more details about bonus before speaking with the team?bI already had first call with HR, should I wait until final rounds to discuss compensation?

My friends, Counselor, Leadership, and Mentors are trying to convince me to stay at Deloitte. I’m only an Analyst and have 6-8 months till Consultant. Have an offer for a Corporate Strategy job in Industry at a F20. The issue is I still don’t know if that’s what I want to do or if this role is something I would enjoy. What they’re saying about the variety of projects/clients in Consulting appeals to me, but the title and opportunities at the new job appeal to me as well.

I’m interested in becoming a product manager one day. I’ve been contacted about applying to a growth marketing role at a tech company. Do you all think that this would be a path that could increase my chances of eventually becoming a product manager? Or am I better off continuing on as a consultant? I have an offer to move client side and help them on their implementation of Workday (current implementation Consultant) as their HCM Admin. Pay is much better (about 30k more than now, currently make 72) - but my husband told me to think about it because it’s so easy to get promoted and shine in my current role. I’ve applied to over 300+ jobs and haven’t had any leads. I have experience working as an Implementation Consultant for a Healthcare software company. Please help.

What option of the following would you pick if you were targeting M7 for 2022 start?
A) Stay at ACN for the recommendations (will matriculate as a consultant w/ 4 YOE)
B) Move to Europe and take current offer at a small startup <10 people for a Business Dev role with way more responsibility than what I’m doing now
C) Find an offer at a larger, more established startup (like Shopify) but potentially in a role with less responsibility

How does one get into strategy / mgmt consulting without having an MBA? Are mgmt consulting jobs only reserved for MBA grads? I feel like I have great ideas that I could put forth and potentially do a good job as a mgmt consultant but I come from an accounting/tax technology background (CPA).. would I just never be relevant for a consulting role unless I got an MBA?
