Could someone please give me a referral to Guidehouse please?

I had a intro call with a PwC hiring manager yesterday. When is too soon to follow up? I am still awaiting details to interview with the team, and I conveyed to the recruiter I had a competing offer.

Anyone familiar with Alixpartners? I am considering a SVP level 2 role and want to make sure I am going at a level that makes sense. I am at a director level, overseeing a department currently and am only looking at Director type roles, but having been a consultant at both Booz and Accenture I know titles are all over the place.

As far as a base comp in the DC Metro, what should I expect? It appears the role is up to base $190k in NY. Is this low?

Just got an email back from Infor that I didn’t get into the program. I would have had 1YOE working with ERP’s coming into this role which is something I’ve found I throughly enjoy. My friend referred me, and from what I could see from my interviews they really liked my background. They had also informed me what software I was going to work with.
I am someone who really takes feedback to heart and I truly want to know what they didn’t see in me. What’s the best way to approach this?

I have a friend who is interviewing with BCG for a Senior Knowledge Analyst role. Her next round is a case interview. Does anyone know what type of case study she can expect? Would it be the same as if she was interviewing for a consultant role?

Are tier 2 and MBB still hiring, or would it be better to check back in the new year?

Currently debating between a senior consultant position at FTI Consulting and Exponent Consulting. Any thoughts and insights on each company? Any insight on a salary range for a senior consultant position in NYC?

I’ve referred three clients to my firm from my personal network that has resulted just over $1M in work (not including expected add on work). For each project, I’ve made the introductions to the client, scoped the work, written the proposals, pitched (one had a closed RFP, two did not go through the RFP process and decided to work with us based on knowing me) and am currently working one project full time. Should I receive a referral bonus for these and if so how much is fair? I’ve received $0.

I have been on the job market for 3 years now. What am I doing wrong? I apply to jobs, I make it as far as an interview for only a fraction of jobs applied to and so far nothing has stuck yet. All my jobs to date has been my referral. I have worked my resume several times to improve it. I don't know what else to do.

6 months in to new role at a management consulting firm, but I need to transfer to our NYC office in 6 months due to the return-to-office policy at my spouse’s firm. I need 12 months of experience to transfer, but I started the transfer process a couple months ago to get the wheels turning. Now one of the admins has suddenly said to reach back out at 12 months tenure when I’m eligible for transfer… How do I navigate this? I need to be in NYC in 6 months or I’ll have to leave this job.

Am I a complete failure? Im 31 years old. I have an MBA from a top school. Couldn’t get into MBB. Did not have the courage to try hard enough. Rolled over like a child at first hint of struggle. Managed to get a senior consultant position at a big 4. BOMBED during my first year. Picked up the pace these past few months but won’t get a promotion after 2 years. My friends got into MBB and I’m not even doing strategy. Does it make sense for me to try at MBB? Am I too old for MBB?

Hi all, I’m looking for a change from my current firm. I’ve been here (current firm) about 9 months but don’t dig the work. A total of 2 years B4 life sciences ops consulting experience with a ton of industry experience. I can survive here forever but don’t think I’m passionate enough. Bench is a bit heavy and pipeline is a little anaemic.

I’m super excited by the opportunity and I’m having what I believe are the last interviews.
How would you approach the interview with the most senior members (Senior Managing Directors)? What do you think I should prepare?
I’m concerned they’ll take the interview to a technical place where I’m not 100% comfortable (their scope being wider than what I’m applying to and what I know).

For BCG, what is higher up in the ladder: positions advertised as “Senior” or “Lead”? Or are they the same? Position is Knowledge Analyst.
