Working as a summer analyst in private wealth management this summer and just got a return offer at GS. Anyone have any experience with salaries, exit ops, etc. pressured between taking the return and looking for something with more optionality.

What are skills you've seen in successful SVP/MDs? And if you're an SVP/MD, what was something you struggled with when transitioning to a manager or managers role?

Last year I moved internally from a Paralegal level 11 w/ 14 yrs exp at $100k base + up to 8% bonus to my current role as compliance manager level 9 at $123k base + up to 35% bonus. I was above cap in my prior role and now my range is up to $138k base. I’m being recruited to my old team as a level 10 Manager with same base/bonus as now but since it’s a lower level I will cap out within a year. I always found the legal work more interesting but limited in career growth. Not sure what to do.

What is the base salary for an Associate position at RBC Dominion Securities in Toronto?

I am looking to start a career in Wealth Management; however, given the current economics trends I cannot afford a pay cut.

Looking to get into finance but I don’t have a bachelors degree, only an associates but it isn’t related to finance. Are they any companies that would hire for an entry level finance position and provide the needed training?

Anyone here ever transition from a big bank FPA role to a big tech Finance role? Id like to eventually move over (google/Amazon/apple/meta/LinkedIn etc).

I’ve applied to google 3 times but my resume was pretty much auto rejected even though I was qualified for the roles. I’ve even tried referrals.

The internal recruiter at a large bank followed up after the 3rd round for an analyst position to let me know I’m the top candidate but they still need to finish the process of getting management to sign off. Trying to evaluate a job offer I received. Associate level position at WF (relationship manager 1) in their ABL group. Base salary of $100k, $5k signing bonus, and eligible for full year end bonus (which I’m hearing ranges from 12-20%) since I’d start before 9/30. I have 6 YOE but only one in a credit based role as I was in field exam/audit for abl deals before. In my audit role I actually worked at WF before I left so I know the team is pretty good to work with and chill. Good W/L balance too.

1. Associate Advisor role at JPM Chase Atlanta 85k Base. No Commission or Sales. What type Of Annual Performance Bonus can I expect in this role?

2. Retirement Planner role at Fidelity in Houston (Remote) 70k Base 15k =100% Bonus w/Cap of 30k= 200% Bonus. *My Recruiter says Growth into a Senior/Director Planner role is easier @ Fidelity. Thoughts? Advice?
