Could anyone provide insight on what a digital transformation or product manager role would be like at a healthcare company?

Recruiter from Amazon reached out for a phone screen for a L7 role st Amazon - Principal Product Manager, Technical. I'm a first year M and have been in consulting mostly. I do have the technical expertise the role requires but no product management experience per se. Think L7 at Amazon for me is a reach. My concern is if I interview and fail, I will be barred from interviewing from another role for 6 to 12 months. Should I give it a shot or save my chance for something more realistic (e.g. L6)?

What’s the best way to apply to Amazon - on the portal or through referral? Are the chances more in either? How do you make yourself seen and stand out?

I’m a PL1 at BCG looking to move to AMZ Sr. program or product manager role.

On a new project serving in a Product Manager role, any certifications, courses, books etc you’d recommend?

Any advice for an SC hoping to exit from tech strategy consulting to a Product Manager role? A lot of companies refuse to hire folks without prior PM experience so where can one get a foot in the door? Are there other tangential industry roles where I can build relevant skills that will make me a good PM? Any insight/ advice is much appreciated!

2+ Asc. looking at exit opps. in Tech -

1. What's your view on Chief of Staff vs. Product Manager roles at a Tech company post-consulting (e.g., pay, impact delivered, WLB, growth etc.)?

2. What are the chances of a 2+ Asc. getting either of those opps.?

3. Opps. are usually better as EM vs. Sr. Asc. (esp. when you're at the cusp), but it feels like the timeline to EM is getting stretched due to COVID-19. Is it worth waiting 6+ months to get designated, esp. with terrible WLB?

Have a final round interview with Goldman Sachs on Monday for a Product Manager role - if anyone has experience interviewing with Goldman, I’d love to know! Thanks in advance

Thoughts on pros and cons of each option? Having a hard time deciding what to target

After almost four years in my role at PwC I am wondering what skills have I developed that can be used at another firm and for what role. I am in a niche group and feel like an excel jockey and that's pretty much i t. Finding it hard to go to a Program or Product manager as I have not donned the hat of either. Having hard time with operations roles though I have an engineering degree because I have not worked directly in such capacity.

So frustrated that I seem to have no takeaway.
