Today was suppose to be my graduation day. Instead I had an experienced hire Big Four interview this afternoon with a senior manager and partner. Was referred to them by another senior manager. Told quite a few positions need to be filled. No hiring freeze for those positions. Don’t expect to hear right away due to Covid delays,working from home, and it being late afternoon on Friday. How long of wait time till I should worry about no offer? Super excited and nervous all at once. Advice needed!

Started taking on more of a true manager role (SM never stepped back before now) and quite nervous about my ability to guide and perform as a leader. Has anyone ever had the case where those lower than you had better ideas / approaches? Or if your SM comes in a destroys your approach - in front of your team? I’m getting self-conscious that I will let down my team by not knowing the best way to do things.

If you had worked your way up to four years of Senior Manager at a Big 4, would you rather take non-equity Managing Director role at current firm or direct admit Partner at non-B4?

How do exit opportunities compare between engagement manager and senior manager?

I'm trying to figure out if it's worth sticking it out for another 6-12mo?

I have five years big 4. Always did well bonus and promotion wise. In between I left for IT sales to make more money but being in Boston I would of had to move for better opportunities. Now I’m back in consulting and miss the freedom of sales. Anyone in my position? I felt this way before quarantine too. The SM on my project almost got divorced so she worked so much, then she said I realized it just my life. It’s just too unhealthy. Thoughts bowlers?

What are the exit opportunities in industry for big 4 ITS by level? (i.e. Senior, Manager, Sr. Manager, Director?)

Last May I was volunteered for a stretch role that lasted 10 months, then corona hit so no real downtime after. Now getting volunteered to backfill a SM for an early promo. Like I want it, but I am not sure if I can do 1.5 years in a row of stretch roles without completely burning out :-( I only have been able to take 1 week off over the past year.

Hey folks. I'm about to receive an offer in a Bay Area accounting/finance role. I'm a Big 4 Senior Manager. The initial figures given to me were approximately $140 base, $100k initial equity grant.
