Apparently using my points + cash and getting an all inclusive trip to Puerto Rico for 8 days is “too expensive” ($900) total is too much money. But spending $600 at home goods is justified? Should I just go and leave her at home?

So I am trying to figure out the points game. Aside from using my Sapphire Preferred for everything, how else does one accumulate the points needed for a nice trip… any and all advise is appreciated!

I feel like I’m at the point where I have too many credit cards and it’s becoming difficult for me to manage to optimize points. Should I close some of them that I don’t use (because I have better point options on my newer ones)? I don’t want to ruin my credit score by decreasing credit limit but I also have a few which I pay $95/year but definitely do not use at all

I commute an hour each way and am exhausted from law firm work by the time I'm home. How did others do it? What's the best way to form my schedule? Any suggestions/advice is helpful. I’m pretty sure by now that my Program Director has asperger. He’s received many criticisms from the client about his inability to gauge the room and evolve a conversation. He also focuses on the wrong points and will beat it to death. His social skills are practically non-existent. How he’s made it to Sr. Director level is beyond me!

Going on a trip with friends. I am covering 2 of 3 hotel nights with points. One of my friends (who is obsessed with points) immediately booked the 3rd night (knowing I have a Bonvoy cc) acting like they were doing me a favor bc I’d ‘planned so much already’. Have 500k chase points. Should I transfer them or use the 50% CSR bonus and book flights that way?

I lateraled to a new firm a few months ago and I’m scheduling lunch/coffee with folks in my firm to get to know people. Sometimes associates, sometimes partners, 2-3 per week. We have non-billable codes where you get sort of firm “citizenship” points, like recruitment, business development, mentoring, etc. Is there non-billable code I can assign these to so I get “credit” for them, or is this just part of being a new person? Also can I expense the meals?
