Coffee Peeps: 3 years ago I bought a Jura Micro (small single espresso machine) using Amex points on a 3 for 1 special, it retails for 2.4K.

Had an issue with it last week and the shop is quoting $600 for repairs. I am weighing this vs spending the repair budget (or less on) a different machine. Any recommendations or thoughts on what to do?

I typically enjoy drip coffee so not dead set on espresso. Would love some advice.

Does anyone know if I have to use my American Airlines credit card in the shopping portal? For example if I have a gift card to one of the places if I just use that do I still get the points for the purchase? It seems like it but I am trying to verify. TIA

Need some advice.
I'm on a team of 25ppl.
There is one member in my team who takes all the limelight though he works the same as me.
He points out each and everything to the manager and tries to stay in her good books.
I feel my manager doesn't understand the efforts I put just because I refused to go to office for a span of 3 weeks.

Also I'm starting to feel this bcoz many ppl in my team got appreciation and reward points.

My PSP and People Manager have been kind of lenient, cooperative and kind to me because I was never told I will be put in PIP, I have to enter project not matching my skillset etc etc.

Is it wise to appreciate both of them via blue points for their support?

Hello. Applying for express entry as CEC candidate and have got ITA. Question is regarding job offer letter process from employer. Currently I am claiming those 50 points in application. On ict work permit with lmia exempt. Hr mentioned that they don’t provide specific job offer letters for pr. IRCC needs assurance that you will have to be employed for at least 1 year post they issue the pr. How do people overcome this hurdle ? Any advice. Need to apply asap as have the deadline to respond. Thnx

Is it a bad idea to go back to previous employer? I started at a huge finance company this year - it really solidified what I want and how I want to pivot my long term career. However the tech stack is terrible and I’m basically stuck making power points all day. I also can’t take hierarchy and sucking up to leadership. I think I can learn the right skill sets at my old firm (convince my boss to do more modeling and ML; previously I was in pure analytics)
