I am being considered for a position (manager level) in BCG corporate finance team for 170k base, any idea of what the singing bonus range I can expect? Currently at Accenture if it matters. Thank you!

Too late to negotiate sign on bonus? I accepted verbal offer last week without any negotiation. I just got my written offer letter. Is it too late to go to my future boss and ask for a sign on bonus.

Hi All, I am currently working for a Canada-based IT services company. I got an offer from IBM Canada to join their Hybrid Cloud Computing Group as an Associate Partner - Multi-Cloud focused on the Financial Services Sector. The base salary is 235K CAD + bonuses and benefits. This is around a 25% hike from my current salary. Is this a good offer?

Is it even worth interviewing for a role that pays below your current compensation? I've received an invitation to interview for a Senior Associate role at JP Morgan in their Wealth Management practice. The salary range states $80,750.00-$115,000.00, which is below what I make at the moment (140k). Should I decline the interview?

Switching jobs and lucky to have two options to choose from. Both public tech companies with their stock near their 52wk low. Both offers are pretty similar except for % of RSUs. Company-1’s comp is ~12% RSUs while Company-2’s package is ~20% RSUs. Purely from compensation perspective, leaning on Company-2 with hope that market and company stock should recover in 1-2years giving much better return? Am I thinking right?

Powell keeps saying “we need to increase rates to not let inflation become entrenched” but salaries in the labor market have been on a massive increase since the pandemic. It’s not like EY will reduce my salary next year. Incomes are high and won’t come down, sure layoffs can happen but the salary ranges for each level have never decreased. Am i wrong for thinking that inflation will become entrenched no matter what?

Can Big Tech layoffs be viewed as a positive development because the other industries will get a greater supply of better trained tech talent with lesser leverage in terms of compensation expectations? I would love some of my clients to have access to better IT / digitally savvy employees.

Asking group wisdom for spouse - Works in procurement for established firm in a priority sector as an individual contributor (total comp - $120K, equity - $10K) and is excited about offer to join a start-up at a manager level in an emerging sector (base 150K but no bonus, sign-on equity - 5k units). Start-up has ~100 FTE and raised Series D recently with ~800m valuation. New role will require in-person work (vs WFH in current role) and might impact WLB. Should she take the offer?
