Getting my first massive performance bonus at my new firm soon. I've gotten bonuses before at my previous firm but they weren't really huge. This one is, to me. I'll be having the manager conversation around the pay out late next week.

How do you all react to the compensation readout from your manager? Non-chalant, and a simple thank you? Excited? Grateful?

What would you normally say?

i sent in a salary negotiation email asking for a higher salary than offered based on some research i did. after looking into it more and talking to people in the current position - i realized that the salary i asked for is a little bit low. guess the internet let me down. would it be bad if i sent in another email with a new salary? not sure how to go about this

I am 6 months pregnant and in the country Im in, I can go on maternity leave right now, keep my full salary, and come back 2 months after the baby is born. I would really like to take this early leave to focus on myself and the baby, get rest.

But I was a new associate and was just promoted to consultant a week ago. I really like my current client. Timing seems bad and Im afraid it will have long term impact on how management sees me, as this means I would be gone 5 to 6 months. Thoughts ?

Glad all these companies are posting salary ranges. Now, if they could only narrow those ranges a bit. I get that there are factors, but 100k+ ranges feel pointless

I've got an offer to work at a place and they want me to come join us asap preferrably this month but they can manage mid-dec. My company has one month notice period, I'm getting married in Dec and ideally would like to start in Jan because I want my bonus at end of the year (although the amount is not that big). The verbal offer was given late Oct. How do I negotiate this?

The posting says "Based in New York or Washington State: $140,080 - $175,100", but I am not sure if it includes RSU or bonus. Any idea on what those usually are?

I work in google cloud, IBM consulting. Looking for a change. WLB, work from home and salary are most important to me. Would you suggest Slalom or Deloitte might be good choice for me?

Current: Deloitte Tech Consulting, SC with manager promo extremely likely next year, 155k base, 20-30k bonus
Exit opp: Small T2 Ops group, Manager,180k base, 30-70k bonus, growing practice

T2 benefits are slightly worse, WLB will be worse, but likely more interesting work.

When asked what you make annually, do you say the base or TC?... I have notice that most people included everything! Base+Bonus+equity+commission etc... I always just say the base...

Love having an interview for a job you really want only to find out salary + bonus is 30% less than what you make in B4 consulting.
