Every day someone posts asking “how do I leverage ‘x’ experience to land a job in ‘y’ company/industry?”. I’ve shared this many times via DM, but here it is in the comments for everyone to see. HOW TO GET ANY JOB IN SALES!
Why is it so hard to find a remote HR position? I have my SHRM-SCP, my MBA and over 10 years of experience being an HR Manager.
HELP! I work at a remote company and we are hiring folks across the mainland. I need to find an online notary who can verify IDs for Form I-9. In the past, I had new hires find a local notary but we want to centralize this as there has been a lot of back and forth, confusion, etc. Do you have any suggestions for a company I can go with? Suggestions including links are greatly appreciated!
Wondering if anyone has suggestions for welcoming a new Director to our company.
My boss suggested bright colored balloons, but I feel like that's too childish. What are some professional, classy ways to say, "welcome to the team, we're glad you're here"?
I'm going with a greeting card signed by HR and his boss.
Any other thoughts?
Does anyone have recommendations for virtual volunteer events? I work for an nyc based fintech that is hybrid in-office/remote. We’ve done a bunch of virtual happy hour type of events but id love to coordinate something that also gives back. Struggling to find something different/unique from the traditional volunteer programs.
How do you know your value? Throughout my 10 yrs of being in a professional setting, I've had colleagues from various places of employment say, I don't think you know your worth. You're under valued, etc. What exercises/tools have helped you realize your worth and effectively advocate for it? TIA!
I am in the process of finishing up my MBA but considering also getting my SPHR or PHR cert. Is it even worth it or a waste of time and money?
Looking for a sales specialist in digital marketing for US based small businesses, any ideas? Thanks.
How important is a personality test for a sales role, is this a very important criterion to decide on a candidate.
I recently did one and was the first time. The video interview before that went well and waiting to hear from HR.
Could somebody throw some light? Am a bit worried.
Hello! I'm looking for vendor recommendations for Manager and Leadership Trainings! Anything helps!
Hey everyone! So, I’m aiming to switch from a contract position (my current job) to a B2B remote job . I’m from Portugal and I’ll be thankful if you can tell me your experiences with remote B2B positions 🙂
Been trying to find a post or thread about office settings for agencies and can’t find anything so wanted to give a shot at a quick poll as the market is brutal in this regard and makes recruitment impossible…
Which agencies out there are working in office full time (and if not now, when), hybrid, or completely remote? How is it being received by peers?
Thank you in advance!! Any help is SUPER appreciated.
Hey, has anyone heard of w UK company called Adsmith? And in terms of a sales job in paid marketing - what’s it like? I have been interviewing with them.
Anyone have experience in enterprise sales at Alteryx? I’m interviewing there and would love any info as to what your experience was like. @Alteryx
So, a recruiter gave me feedback that my lack SPHR or SHRM-SCP is causing my resume to be knock out by AI and human recruiters despite my position and work history in Multinationals and being in Technology. They suggested that we put SPHR ( Lapsed). I let it lapse in 2017. What is your opinion? Plus if I were to take another certification - should I take SPHR or SHRM-SCP?
Hi! Looking for some advice on tech sales vs non-tech sales.
I’m 27 and have been with tech companies for 5 years (BDR, hybrid BDR/SMB sales, and then customer care type role).
I’m currently interviewing for a Sales Exec role at a company that provides virtual mental health services, so I would not be in the tech realm necessarily. I’m wondering if this will negatively impact me in the future, if I try to get back in the tech world.
PSA: if any of you haven’t been wearing earrings during this lockdown, you might want to put some in today (I just tried some on for first time in 2 months and my holes def feel tighter than they used to)
Do you guys remember doing character and fitness? I didn't have any issues with it but apparently the bar association can contact your landlord?
I remember questioning how they could even obtain some of the stuff they are asking for if you were not forthcoming. For instance, how would they know if you've been civilly sued if that's not always public information or how would they know if you are current on your taxes?
I’m a data science consultant with 6 YOE. Have an offer to switch as senior financial analyst in fp&a team with 40% hike. Is it a good decision financially and career wise? Both equally good companies.
Can anyone give insights on Work Culture , WLB and Projects for Infosys Consulting
Have an offer for Consultant-Retail Domain
Any Insights /Tips would be really helpful
Any recommendations on recruitment firms to network with for HR/internal TA roles? Thanks 🙏
Ladies, could you please advise what should I do in this scenario - I joined a new team few weeks before my new manager, I automated some stuff by using tool A with the previous manager who now is senior manager. The new manager came in and asked me to use tool B to redo everything. The SM is not on board with him but we already told him multiple times that we can use tool B for some other stuff since tool A could be our part of KPI as well. But new manager won’t listen and still want to have a
How much do you tip for lash extensions? 20%?
Do you think this post-covid trend toward wfh will ruin cities? This article about Goldman Sachs having several thousand employees straight up refuse to come back to the office had me wondering how having so many fewer people in downtown areas because of empty office buildings is going to affect the businesses that sprung up to feed, clothe, and entertain these employees nearby. https://finance.yahoo.com/news/goldman-sachs-ceo-demanded-employees-210608499.html
Super awkward question:
Do you sexually harassed by your students?
This is the second year in row that I’ve been asked if I have OnlyFans. There has also been Snapchats of me being taken while I teach with sexual commentary added and shared around school 🙄🙄 Anyone relate? I’d like to know it’s not just me.
Guys: Curious to know why men ghost…
What do people do after realizing they don’t want to be miserable in PE for the rest of their lives? Have you all seen people make transitions to something that has a better life balance/care for employees and is still an interesting job that they’re happy with?
Any advice? I was given feedback by my manager which I added to my project doc. Fast forward a month and my CTO sees this specific feedback and sarcastically but aggressively says that it’s the wrong thing to have documented and could have our company sued. My manager was at this meeting and didn’t say anything. I didn’t want to throw him under the bus and said that it was some feedback I’d received. My manager never acknowledged this in our 1:1. Feels wrong to take the blame here
I’m new here. Can I please get some likes 😩
I am a mid-level (rising fifth year) real estate associate considering an offer to move in-house. The position is at a company I’m really interested in and would probably provide a significantly better work-life balance. I’m concerned about the pay cut - going from cravath scale to about $175k. Likely no significant bonus potential. I’m interested in hearing any perspectives from those who have taken a similar pay cut - was it worth it to you?
Do you think firms will ever re-adjust salaries for cost of living if wfh is prolonged due to people moving back to low cost areas?
