I’m a 2016 grad making $120k in a small to mid-size regional firm. I’m based in Nashville. My firm’s management is trying to survey other small to mid-size regional firms to get a feel for where the comp is now, especially in light of the big law increases that are making headlines, and to see just how far below market we may have fallen. Any additional data points from smaller regional firms (especially if you have a presence in Nashville or across the SE) would be appreciated! TIA

How much value do companies place on HR experience in a specific industry? My thought is that HR is HR wherever you go, and it shouldn’t be difficult to switch industries (e.g. manufacturing to financial services), mid- to late-career. But what has been your experience?
Any thoughts on the best certifications to get in order to help move forward? I have considered the CCP from World at Work, but it’s fairly pricey to get by the time you wrap up everything. I was looking at both SHRM-CP and SPHR. Everyone that I have spoken to has the SHRM, but that’s also only looking at individuals in a small geographic footprint and within 3-4 different companies. I was hoping to get some thoughts on this from others? Thanks
Does anyone have a dashboard or excel template for turnover/attrition where data can be easily “dumped” in for a beautiful display? TIA!

Any thoughts or ideas on how to best help seemingly down on their luck homeless underpass “campers”? These folks appear to be genuinely down on their luck and my city began to allow “camping” around when COVID hit. It’s ballooned since. I volunteer and donate, but this is kind of far out. Any ideas are welcome.

Fishbowl friends - I have a recurring issue with a high rank male colleague. Anyone outside of his core team, he verbally harasses and says the most insane things. I’ve noticed it’s usually towards women with a lower rank, not just me. If I ever acted in his manner, I probably would have gotten fired long ago. He brings new business, so he’s pretty much untouchable. WWYD? Should I start sending this to HR?
So, just what did Nick Emery do to get fired? ‘Prank gone wrong on zoom’ is all I’m hearing

Anyone have any noteworthy experiences (for better or worse) as an associate at Fox Rothschild in their NYC or Philly offices?
