Hi all, I really need some advice here, I have the feeling our company has gone a bit overboard in uploading policies. When someone starts, they have 30+ policies to read. I am a bit flustered and looking in other ways to reduce the number of documents to read, but still want everyone to be informed. Any suggestions/tips?

I’m interested in furthering my career and I’m considering studying for the PHR or SHRM-CP exam. For those of you who are certified, do you have any advice and recommendations on which one you think might be better?
@snyk Does anyone work at (or know someone that works at) the company SNYK? If so, what’s it like being in sales there?
I have a year of experience in recruiting but I am looking to transition into the Talent Development/Organizational Development space in the industry. Would a Masters degree in I/O or OD be better for this? I would love any advice on this!
I’m studying for the SHRM-CP with the Mometrix (study guides, online course, and flash cards), however I’m super overwhelmed with all of the information. What are some best practices to ensure I grasp all of the concept ? Any advice would be much appreciated!!!
Does anyone have any study tips or can suggest a helpful study tool for the HRCI SPHR exam? I used BenchPrepHR to help me prep and took a few practice test. I took my exam last week and unfortunately did not pass. Any tips would be helpful to help me prepare to retake in a few months.
Anyone actually keep their PHR active? I got my cert in 2013 and have done nothing since.
I am looking to gain certification or other credentialing in diversity and inclusion, not only because it would look good on my resume both for future job-search purposes and also to become better educated in this area, which is growing in importance. I looked at SHRM's "Inclusive Workplace Culture Specialty Credential" and got a bit of "sticker shock" at the cost - $1,655.00 for members. Does anyone have other suggestions on training/credentialing in this area?
Anyone got a six figure base as an AE? Hunting around for companies with 6-fig base and similar commission. Seems to be mostly field / enterprise pay.
Has anyone found value in the “Josh Bersin Academy” membership? They are offering 20% off an annual subscription so my interest is piqued.
Hoping to get my PHR in the next year or so. Outside of employer reimbursement, are there other opportunities for this to get funded? I know SHRM Foundation offers scholarships for the CP, but I am looking for PHR specific help. Thank you! :)
Has anyone implemented Workday without experiencing massive regrets? It seems to be far more complicated to run advanced reports, export data timely, and be productive from a reporting standpoint. Also, has anyone had any luck with Reed Group as their leave management vendor? I’ve implemented Reed Group with both Lawson and Workday and the results have been abysmal each time from an integration standpoint.
Hi! Has anyone completed the diversity and inclusion certificate online through Cornell university? Thoughts? Worth it? Helpful in your career? Thanks!!
Hi all, our company is looking for 2 HRBPs: 1 based in the states and 1 in Canada. Do you have any suggestions for postings other the the regular LinkedIn/ indeed?

Hello all, Wondering if anyone has high-level visual of a HR systems roadmap that also captures the employee experience with an end to end view? Currently we have a products map however want to add in the experience component and am having a hard time with a good visual. Many thx
For those of you who have gone the HR consulting route, any advice on starting out? I just fell into an opportunity that is too good to pass up. I'm not planning to leave my day job at this point, but I'm certainly interested in the prospect of growing a consultancy.
I've gotten lazy this week. How do yall get back on the path and get motivated to get it done?
Quick vent: I really hate when people aren’t inclusive! I invite my roommate out all the time with my friends and we have a great time. I haven’t received a single invite back. She definitely has more friends than I do in the area so it would help me out a lot to be invited & included to form a friend group. I even tried to invite myself and still no inclusion. Ugh.
Taking bets on the year when it becomes socially acceptable to refer to your dogs sexual orientation as "gender fluid" - I'd say 2019
Manager wants me to write a report for a client. I called the client and asked if they wanted a report. They said no. Writing this report would be a huge waste of time. What do I say to the manager?
Anyone own a franchise? What’s your experience, how did you get started and how much did you invest and any lessons learned?

TFW you are so engrossed in your phone you realize you walked in and sat in a stall of the other gender's restroom ....then panicking to figure out how to leave.

Partner who did pretty much nothing is doing the absolute MOST in the client meeting and after. “This was great teamwork” “great work from strategy and accounts too” I’m seething and trying to not let it get to me.
Has anyone else in NY had an offer delayed? I was told by my EY recruiter that it would take some time to receive the verbal and written offer due to a new background check for NYC residents; I was told unofficially that the team liked me and wanted to move forward and we discussed comp and start date. I’m a little concerned something else is going on and my offer will go to someone else. Am I worrying too much? Thanks! EY
So is the term "you come off as very experienced" code for "you're too old for the position you're aiming for"?
2 years at MBB + M7 MBA, currently in Chicago. Looking to move to a lower cost of living geography. Heavily considering exiting into Tech in the Research Triangle Park Area (think Raleigh, Cary, Durham, Morrisville) . Targeting these firms for BizOps/ Sales Strategy roles: Cisco, Lenovo, IBM, Salesforce, Amazon, Microsoft. Non-negotiable is a focus on cloud technologies - either as a provider or an adopter. Any heavyweights I am missing? (Purposely left GCP out). Appreciate the stress test!
Big Four consultants, what is your firm’s policy for this year on promotions, raises, bonuses, layoffs? At PwC there’s a freeze on raises, minimal promotions and smaller bonuses. Pay-cut for partners. No layoffs, at least in the near future.
If my goal is to move to big tech as a Product Manager, would it better to first go into a small business as a Product Manager? Or go ahead and get my MBA at a top 15 school? Currently doing tech implementations for analytics dashboards.
Was going to give my two weeks notice in November. Found out today I am booked on a 3 week project across APAC.. so I try and stay a few more weeks? 😳
EYP deal tech role - how is the wlb and does anyone have insight into the overall culture? EY-Parthenon
Newly promoted experienced hire SC making $113k, 10 YOE (switched industries). Got an offer from TCS in an Advisory practice (not the tech sweatshop stuff that I keep seeing people mention). Base salary is $190k and in TCS equivalent of a M role. Downside to taking the salary hike and boomeranging back to D in ~2 years? FYI - I have 2 kids, so that kind of pay raise is kind of a big deal.
