I keep hiring sales people who are super enthusiastic and overpromising on what they deliver. I put them through a trial month (no base + commission only) and they do not close a single deal, Even though the commission structure is amazing and I’m incentivizing them through the roof. We experienced sales people are asking for a base and commission but I’m scared that I’ll end up having a base and the same thing will end up happening. What am I doing wrong?

We've had a few instances of possible COVID sick employees that returned with negative test results. Upper management is basically asking if there is something they can do to help control what employees are doing in their off time (ie. going to bars or other places with a lot of people). They even went as far as to mention something about a wedding that 3 of the employees are in together. Can an employer have ANY control over an employee's time off? It seems crazy to think that they think they can.

In our large multinational company, we have an employee who has been hit with the Covid unfortunately. He has been in isolation for 19 days and keeps getting a positive test. Not sure how but it is what it is. He is a cheerful guy managing sales so this new normal in complete solitude is hitting him pretty hard. Any recs on what we can do as a company to uplift his spirits? Was thinking we do a pre-recorded video from his team (12 people) to wish him a speedy recovery /share some inside jokes - or a care package delivery. Looking for any creative and touching recs / brainstorming ideas!
