How long does it take to get over ptsd from being in a toxic micromanaging environment? I was a top biller and top manager at a large staffing company for five years and was treated like a child. The place was crazy. Six months into my new role I’m still scared to request PTO or afraid that my boss would be mad if she found that I took an afternoon break to walk my dog.

So, I'm really curious, for those of us who aren't essential workers, how are you handling return to work? Phases? 50% capacity? Self Identifying disclosures? Sanitization stations?
Hello please can I find Victoria’s boot camp I keep hearing about this being great to study for shrm exam but I can’t find it anywhere thank you
Hi everyone, Looking for a M&A HR checklist that includes due diligence through integration. I have one but would like to see what else is out there and compare. Happy to share my email directly.
Looking for ideas on how other companies are celebrating and recognizing diversity holidays like LGBT pride month Juneteenth black history month women’s history month etc.Not just days off
What training or guidance are you giving managers at your firms about managing hybrid teams? There is a lot out there on remote teams, but a lot of us are going back three days a week which means people at home and people in the room. Any tips to pass on?
I’m mid-level in my HR career at my current company and an upcoming Master’s graduate. Studying for my SHRM-CP too. How did you make the transition to that next level? What skills do you need, or is it really just based on YOE (I am the youngest compared to my teammates, many who have 10+ YOE)? I feel like career pathing is not very clear at my company. Each time I ask for guidance on this from my manager, I get told they’ll look into it.... would love some external mentorship and thoughts 🙏🏼
You’re constantly showing up for everyone else, but who’s showing up for you? I started an initiative to coach HR/people leaders because I know what it’s like to be doing all the things for everyone else with little support or focus on your own well-being, growth and development. It’s a lonely game! I’d be delighted to create the space to make you a priority. Would love to offer a free session, or simply connect: https://www.chrisrollins.me/peopleleaders.
Any female MM/ENT AEs with SaaS or Fintech experience looking to make a move? Series D company positioned to IPO in 2 years. Would be wild if this works lol
If you are feeling sick or something during the day and WFH, do you feel comfortable napping it off and then getting back to work and working late if needed? I have friends that say this is totally normal and okay but I feel weird about it and can never actually rest to feel better if I do lay down
Workday HELP! I need an amazing consultant or contact who can help us fix our workday woes. I’m not in charge of workday but I’m determined to fix it. We have massive issues with the complexity and ever changing security/permissions/workflows implemented by our system analysts. Every couple of months it changes and we all have to relearn simple tasks again. The analysts try to blame the users but I know it’s more than that.

Looking for feedback on Paylocity and UKG payroll HRIS. We have 250 employees and rapidly growing company.
I’m looking for a screening tool that will assess a candidate’s proficiency with MS-Teams. Would anyone know if there is such a thing that exists?
I am looking to gain certification or other credentialing in diversity and inclusion, not only because it would look good on my resume both for future job-search purposes and also to become better educated in this area, which is growing in importance. I looked at SHRM's "Inclusive Workplace Culture Specialty Credential" and got a bit of "sticker shock" at the cost - $1,655.00 for members. Does anyone have other suggestions on training/credentialing in this area?
Currently, I have an employee who is struggling. Missing deadlines, making false promises to clients etc. Recently, I sat in one of his development sessions with his manager, and I was shocked at how disengaged he was and how junior he actually vs what we pay him. After some further investigation, we are afraid he lied on his resume and how his experience. How do you go about a situation such as this? This is a first for me.
Would my bosses let me move to work in a different state? I work as an internal consultant within KPMG, working for the firm within the internal HR team. I have been with KPMG for 5 months but I am wanting to move back home to be with my family - on the other side of the country. There’s only a 2 hour Timezone difference and I’d make sure to work on current time. My line manager I report to lives in another state to me anyway - and it seems to work well for her. Am I pushing my luck to ask?
Any thoughts on the best certifications to get in order to help move forward? I have considered the CCP from World at Work, but it’s fairly pricey to get by the time you wrap up everything. I was looking at both SHRM-CP and SPHR. Everyone that I have spoken to has the SHRM, but that’s also only looking at individuals in a small geographic footprint and within 3-4 different companies. I was hoping to get some thoughts on this from others? Thanks
Just had a SM call and ask to move over 2 weeks of billable work to a PRD code because the project is over budget. Just checked and this will put me just at 89% utilization for year end (cont.)
Which certificate do you think is better for landing a data scientist role at a late stage startup AWS Machine Learning or AWS Data Analytics?
How have you handled going for a job title that’s a level above your current one, when companies are reaching out to you for opportunities at the same level you’re at? Take the interview anyway?
Is $75 an hour in SF a good rate for a designer with like 1.5 years of experience? I threw that out at an interview and the recruiter balked and now I'm feeling paranoid 😔
Been doing this shit for 10 years and just now got on a project that makes me want to quit my job. Is this normal or what took so long?
Should I exit to a role under ‘strategy and operations’ at a company I’m not super interested in but the work is more aligned? Will this help in moving to strategy and operations at firms I’m more interested in? Ie twitter, google etc

What’s the best way to spend Amex points?
Hi guys! I recently cleared the AWS CCP and look forward to preparing for SAA. Can someone please guide? Too many resources available but with the CA02 I would need some recommendations for courses, timelines, practice tests, etc . No prior experience with cloud. TIA
Debating whether to go into the office or sleep another hour and work from home. Damn you Sunday Funday!!
Anyone taking off from BOS this morning and incredibly delayed? Sitting on AA 'flight' to CLT. Been on tarmac for 70 mins
Typically, which type of consulting roles pay more? A.) M-Th travel B.) limited to no travel
Are there any CA family law firms looking to contract out work (legal research, drafting briefs, disclosures, forms, discovery, etc.)? I have over 6 years of experience and am well-versed in family code and case law. (My attorney is on family leave so we don't have the workload I'm used to right now, and my husband might be switching jobs with a pay cut, so it wouldn't hurt to earn some extra money.)
What are the cost and logistics of child care in nyc? I’m on a normal consultant travel schedule and partner works more normal hours but still has dinner events twice a week and travel once a month
Starting a new job soon and they just told me they’d like me to join a team-wide offsite in person in July (the role is fully remote). I’m vaxxed but have an underlying issue and still feel uncomfortable/like it’s too soon for me. I feel awkward explaining that. What’s reasonable?
