Is there any resources someone can point me to about the potential legal issues and more information from an HR perspective about contingent employees (temps, contract workers, part-time workers) versus normal FTE’s?

I’m working on a project for an HR class and finding good sources with real evidence about this from SHRM and news publications has been rough. Thanks!

Coaching leader on factors influencing KPIs.

I had a chat with my business partner, and he’s said the team is complaining about the KPIs that are too far of a stretch.

I then suggested him to unpack that a bit more. When one is not hitting their KPIs, there could be many factors.

My initial view is that it could be true but we also have to look at CAPABILITY, TECHNOLOGY, WAYS OF WORKING etc before assuming our KPI is not set up right.

What is your approach in this scenario?

I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving! I wanted to reach out to anyone who is listening. I'm currently a recruiter in Atlanta, Ga. It's been a great run thus far. I'm currently seeking an entry level Human Resources Generalist position. I would like the opportunity to join and learn all that I can. I'm a former IRS Agent (tax law) who changed careers. I'm more interested in employment law, benefits ect. If you know anyone who is hiring please reach out to me. Thank you in advance.

Are there any AMAZON HUMAN RESOURCES professionals in this bowl? I have been trying to get a job with Amazon for a while and I was wondering if anyone had any tips or suggestions? I have over 10 yrs experience of continued HR growth, currently a HR Director, have MBA and SHRM-SCP. I’m wondering if there is a particular skill set I should be highlighting to get in the door there!?

As posted in Women in Law, a handy tip on how to colour code your outlook inbox:

(1) go to “View” tab
(2) select “View Settings”
(3) select “Conditional Formatting”
(4) select “Add” and name e.g. “Urgent”
(5) select “Font” and choose e.g.
- effects: underline
- colour: Red
- font style: bold
- size: Big
(6) select “Condition” and navigate to “More Choices”.
(7) select “Categories” and choose one.

Assign an email with that category and it’ll change colour!

Curious to hear people’s thoughts on this. As an Asian American female (28 years old), I make significantly more than my Asian American bf (29 years old), and this is a constant topic in my family and aunts and uncles with really hurtful jabs about how he’s poor and the guy should make more than the girl and how it’s so embarrassing. Has anyone else experienced this in terms of these traditional values and toxicity? For reference, I own property and make 200K while he’s around 90K.

I've decided to leave big law for what I think is a great in-house opportunity, but my firm is trying to convince me to stay. This of course has me second guessing my decision to move in-house, but I'm trying to focus on my long-term career goals and why I started job searching to begin with. Curious if others experienced this when giving notice and if so, how you handled it?

Looking to get into SaaS. I am currently in the workspace solutions industry. While I have sold some tech in the past, most of my background is in CPG manufacturing and distribution. My average income the past three years is about 130k. I’d preferably like to break in at a mid-market level as my current role is on the enterprise level. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
