Hello! I have a two part question: 1) is it worth it to obtain an SHRM specialty credential if I don’t have the broader SHRM certification? 2) has anyone gotten the People Analytics or Talent Acquistion credential? If so, how valuable was it from a learning perspective? Do you feel it significantly contributed to your knowledge in either area? Thank you!

I’m taking the SPHR in less than 2 months and haven’t started studying for it. How difficult is it? I’ve been in HR for 20 years and have experienced ALOT in that time, although there are always employee relations scenarios that surprise me! How much do I really need to study for this? I just can’t seem to motivate myself to do it, I’m so mentally burnt out at the end of the day from a high stress HR job, the last thing I feel like doing is studying HR!

You’re constantly showing up for everyone else, but who’s showing up for you? I started an initiative to coach HR/people leaders because I know what it’s like to be doing all the things for everyone else with little support or focus on your own well-being, growth and development. It’s a lonely game! I’d be delighted to create the space to make you a priority. Would love to offer a free session, or simply connect: https://www.chrisrollins.me/peopleleaders.
How do you communicate with employees who don't want to wear masks? Unbelievable to me people still have issues grasping this need.

My LO has an infection with high fever and my husband and I have been WFH all week to take care of her. Even though the infection is not contagious, it’s instructed by our pediatrician that she cannot go back to daycare until she’s fever free without any medication for 24h. My husband has been antsy to go back to work and has informed me that he absolutely has to go back tomorrow no matter what and we should just send her back to daycare with a dose of Motrin in the morning.
