$19,500 plus do backdoor Roth.
I would max out my Roth at 6k, max out HSA, put in what my employer matches for 401k, travel/ passion money cuz you gotta have fun -/ any left over into index funds after I had an 3 month emergency fund
As much as you can! But first max a Roth IRA. By “little savings” do you mean this would leave you with little cash savings?
First off, seconding what K2 said above.
Is there a reason why you’d be concerned with decreased cash savings as a result of increasing 401k contributions? Unless you’re saving up an emergency fund or for a house down payment or something, investing in retirement accounts is preferable to holding any excess cash
Well it depends. If you have already have an emergency fund saved up, i would say max the 401k and try to save/invest as much as you can afterwards.
I’m 85k with 2200 monthly expenses, take home is about 3800. I do 15% which is about 12k, leaving me 600 for home/fun stuff and save 1k ish a month. Personally I don’t like to be stretched too thin on cash. I’m 24 as well. Save but make sure you have enough to HAVE FUN!
Thanks! I might do something similar to you.

How are you getting to that?
You should be taking home around 60k after taxes. Your expenses are just under 28k, so you’ll have 32k left over.
401k max is 19.5k
IRA max is 6k
That leaves around 6k for an emergency fund or brokerage account.

Look into early withdrawal rules for Roth accounts. It’s not all locked up until retirement.
