Yes. I’m a 4th year and people still ask for transcripts etc. if you don’t include info about your grades they seem to assume that you didn’t do well at school.
Out of 4.0?
Undergrad GPA seems excessive. I certainly wouldn’t care what you got in undergrad unless your law school grades were terrible.
I would not include. Next job should be based on actual work experience. As a 3L, that was limited so you needed to show capacity in a different way. You can provide a transcript if requested.
You should include GPA. If you leave it off, they'll assume you got bad grades. Now if you actually got really bad grades, better to leave it off.
Gpa has no place on a resume. Be a professional and send a copy of your transcripts along with your resume...unless you didn’t do well in law school. Then just pray to the gods they don’t ask, but they will 🥳
I graduated 8 years ago. Since then I have worked as a prosecutor for five years and at a midsize law firm doing commercial litigation for three. I did awful my first year in law school. As in a 2.3 GPA. Much better my second and third year but because my first year was so terrible it was difficult for me to find my first job. Luckily I landed on my feet. If I would ever try to transition into big law, would my first year grades matter? It happened 10 years ago at this point and since then I’ve had great experience and would have many references. But is a first year GPA that is so low a virtual automatic disqualification from big law?
You should start a thread about this topic alone. I think there are a lot of people that may have this question.
