Not. Not reasonable. Not reasonable to question a new associate’s hours until at least a year has passed.

I think the standard accounting format is the expectation that you will bill 3x your salary. If you’ve billed your salary, and have 2/3 of the year left, sounds like you are on track. We’re the firms expectations communicated before you accepted the offer? What are they questioning you about? If it is an issue that you are exclusively working on the files you brought and not devoting enough attention to the other files, that could be the issue and may be reasonable under the circumstances. But from a purely numbers perspective, seems you are on track. Good luck!

Some Business Intelligence/Analyst roles are very data heavy. I wonder why these roles do not have the term “data” in them, and wonder if it’s to keep the salary lower than it should be. I have colleagues doing intense data science tasks as BI Analysts, and can’t help but feel indignant on their behalf because when hearing their job title, one would underestimate their technical ability.

Hi, I am currently working at Bisleri in a quality control role with 6 YOE. My current CTC is very low (4 LPA) and I have not found any motivation or growth in my role since COVID. I'd like to be in the design industry (Graphic Design or UI UI Design). Currently I am freelancing in my spare time. My question to Design professionals is: how feasible will the switch be? Will I be accepted as an intern/junior designer in my early 30s?

I have about 4 years of experience and an MBA degree. I have currently joined one of the Big 4s as Consultant but recently got an offer from McKinsey digital as a Knowledge Analyst. Do you think it will be a right decision to take this offer? I am being offered about 20 lpa (including all components)

I’m graduating in December, with a background in environmental economics and policy. Consulting didn’t work out this cycle. Made it to final rounds for Bain and Kearney but in the end didn’t get an offer. I want to recoup and try again, but I’m worried that once I’m out of undergrad the door will be closed to starting in consulting.

What can I do to make this happen? I have friends and connections at Bain and Kearney and the other firms as well, but not sure if it’s feasible now.
