Currently a Solutions Consultant at Pegasystems.
I am interviewing at and considering making a jump to Oracle as a Specialist Solutions Consultant.
The reason for my move is currently at Pega SCs are treated more as AEs or Account Managers. The role at Oracle would be more of a true SC position. I also feel that Oracle will look BETTER on a resume and someone as young as me would have BETTER programs in place to train me and give me the foundation needed to be a successful SC.
Thoughts?

I always like asking how work flows through the office to gain an understanding of the structure of the firm and if I’m going to be working with specific people.
I’m in bankruptcy practice, so I ask the following:
1- What would someone at my level likely be doing if I joined the firm
2- In your opinion, what makes a successful mid-level associate in your group? (I’m mid-level)
3 - How do you see the bankruptcy practice at the firm growing or evolving going forward
4 - Putting yourself in my shoes, is there anything else that you think I should know at this point.
I agree with these, and would add that I also ask about why my interviewers joined and stayed at the firm. A caveat is that this isn’t appropriate if the interviewer is actually the founder of the firm.
Do some research into which industries the firm focus on and ask good questions that show your awareness, interest, and maybe even some knowledge about those industries
Imagine you already work there. Then think what questions you would want to know to understand the process for work and growth at the firm. As I’ve been interviewing people lately, I’ve noticed that I don’t like the fake questions, and sometimes it’s obvious. I like it when someone asks actual questions where it’s apparent that they want to know and understand the answer.
