Lol, been there myself OP. In my experience it's good just to be in the system. You could always apply again or try to set up a call with a recruiter .
That’s alright just going to take it on the chin.
Sorry about the rejection. I think it's safe to just move on. There's for sure something better ahead for you
Some of the ATS used will send auto rejection letter, even if they have multiple openings. If you have contact there you could ask or reapply. It is a tough market right now for HR folks.
I would say the email is accurate. They just probably haven't updated it in the system yet.
Yup I agree. Thank you 😊
it's not uncommon for job application portals to be a little behind the times. It's possible that your application status hasn't been updated yet, even though you've received a rejection email. If you're really curious you can always reach out to the hiring manager or HR department to ask about the status of your application. Just be polite and professional, and don't be pushy
I would just assume that the email you received is what the actual status is. Seems like a pretty clear sign if you ask me
Yeah I guess the portal hasn’t updated yet. No biggie. Ty
I would say you didn't get this one. But don't let that get you down! Keep applying! You will get the right job that is a good fit for you.
Of course! There must just be something better out there for you! :)

I didn’t realize candidates could see their progress in the ATS on their end 😬
Sometimes I let applications sit within the job in the ‘applied’ step, and I decline them all when I fill it. But for what I do, I would say only 10% of my candidates come from applying to the job (and 95% of them applied on LinkedIn) so I don’t keep a super close eye on the apps that come in directly from our careers page

Sometimes these ATS’ don’t update until a certain hour or time period so an email might be instant but the actual status might take until the next day
