Definitely open a personal Amex card and transfer - Amex gold basically lays for itself (speaking from a chase trifecta loyalist)

Would argue in favor of an Amex gold. Some perks were clipped recently but largely pays for itself via Uber refunds and various other discounts. Happy to share a referral code if desired.
I fly United regularly fwiw, not living in a Delta hub city.
Do you have a personal Amex? If so you should be able to transfer your corporate points to your personal account

Hey makes total sense and I understand your comment now. AP is still a much better place for trained consultants vs not.
I cashed out my points on Amazon purchases awhile back - certainly not the best redemption rate, but not terrible
