Hello, what is working in retail banking like at JPMorgan Chase ? Specially the branch manager role. I’m looking in the Columbus area. How is pay, culture, benefits, sales environment, meetings, etc. How easy is it to transition from retail banking to corporate. I hear the Polaris campus has great opportunities, I was thinking about getting my foot in the door through retail then transferring to corporate ?

Nothing. It's easy to go from big law to PI the opposite however is not.
Go out of your way to get assigned to the big product liability cases or mass torts that lit partners at your firm handle. In almost every biglaw firm there are lit partners in an office somewhere across the country that handle big cases that involve serious injuries or death. Won’t be individual accidents generally as those tend to be handled by insurance defense firms. Think defective airbags, cancer causing products, etc. That experience will be particularly transferable to a PI practice and make you stand out when you make your move.
Rising Star
Litigation experience, especially trial experience, never hurts.

Someone will definitely give you a shot at a PI firm coming from a big law firm, just be prepared for a massive pay cut since you will have zero PI experience. Safe to assume you won’t be making them much money your first year or so.
Understood. I’m hopeful that I’ll learn enough skills to become a partner there eventually and maybe open my own shop so I can make more money and have more control over my cases. And then just do the stuff I enjoy
