Intl Tax folks, how long did it take before you were confident in your role? I've worked for the past 3 years in a practice that is heavily consulting based (inbound and outbound structuring) and I feel like I'm only just starting to understand the foundational concepts (where I can explain them clearly to clients) and offering a shred of value. Then I'll have calls where partners discuss complex tax, legal, treasury and other related concepts that all go over my head.. it becomes overwhelming

I recently started in a sales role. Have a heavy consulting background (20 years) imagine big four and SI experience. Question - from here how easy or difficult is it to move internally. What areas within SalesForce value the consulting skill set. I have managed large teams and P&L of $20M annual. Big name client experience and complex professional services sales and delivery experience with global teams (India, UK, Latin America).

How is the job market currently looking in London? Currently in the US but will have to head back to Europe because of expired visa. Are typical exit opps the same as in the US?

What are peoples thoughts on working for a Banking Company in a Product or Tech role? I know there are mixed feelings since it’s not working directly with interest, etc.

5th September is my last working day at Infosys. Yoe=4+ yrs

I hold an offer of 18LPA from KPMG with joining date of 7th September. (Wfh)
I applied at Workday on 15th May and went through 7 technical rounds of interview and received a verbal offer letter of 21LPA (hybrid)
Now apparently their technical panel "forgot" about the interview and wants to have a discussion again as 8th technical interview. HR says their joining date will be 19th September.

Like soccer has ONE (2 if you count both genders) Why do we need 19 events for swimming (38 for both genders not counting mixed events). So i have been fortunate that i have managed to go through my career without the need for a degree. I was lucky enough to have been hired by one of the worlds top consulting firms, worked with a whole lot of big clients and travelled a lot. It's gotten to the point where I am not even asked about the lack of a degree on my resume. Personally though, it bothers me. I have a whole bunch of certifications in my industry…but just no formal degree. (cont'd)

So I’m in industry from big 4, and a colleague with same yoe comes from MBB. High paying tech firm. I think I work harder and produce quality content at speed, but they can hold executive conversations that tend to impress senior stakeholders.

Big 4 produces work horses and MBB produces leaders. Also they could be a work horse too since I don’t have full visibility.

Anyone have similar experiences or do I just suck at executive stakeholder management?
