Same here OP, I've heard there will be more staff 3s than usual. Unfortunately for us they really don't care about internal work
You said 'utilisation' ... are you a U.K. 🐟?
Also - if you got a 3, I would talk to your counselor and CFL. Figure out why, and prod until they say something more than util. Then get everyone clear around what you have to do to make promo happen next year. Since you got a 3, there's no need to look for the nearest exit unless you want to.

what?! this is the first time i heard about someone dont get promoted to senior from staff 2 in EY. which practice? whats your utilization?

i don't think you can change anything after the fact. sorry. how they giving out ratings is always not very fair.
OP- did your counselor ever let you know that not getting promoted was a possibility? What was her overall thoughts on how your round table went?
DnA, but was on a SAP project doing PMO stuff when I was staffed for 4 months. My util was 58%, shit I know but I work on a white paper and 2 proposals + did some CF work like making/ cleaning presentations etc.
EY2 what practice are you affiliated to?
Do you know your ratings yet, @OP and @EY2?

Don't lost hope OP. Give it another year. Typically PwC associates are at the level for three years

Got a 4. Have been staffed the whole time but 6 months was on internal work so my util was also shit. Love how we have to take the internal projects but then they hold it against us 🙄

I am based out of LA
No one cares about internal projects... except the person you're doing them for. In that case, the sky is falling and you can't get it done fast enough. It's a lose-lose situation. It's held against you, and you're rushed so it's hardly ever the best solution.
