Why setting up barriers in NYC subway stations (like Tokyo metro has) is so challenging…the detailed MTA report is fascinating

Bain & Company Bain & Company Do you have any insights into what they are expecting in the second (last) round? I saw that there are two cases and a presentation. Are they more interested in professionalism than the "analytical" skills assessed in the first round? Do you have any more insights into the presentation?
Many thanks in advance

I would definitely recommend taking a week off and when you return, take off a day or two a month just for yourself. Burnout affects mental health and then affects the patients we work with. Take care of yourself first. Schedule consistent time to recharge. Even if that means calling out sick every so often. Also, get a note from your Dr if you need more time off.
I agree with physician 1 and add regular visits with a good counselor. I have been in practice 34 years and no one wherever I worked said “hey, take care of you. Take tomorrow off”. You have to do it yourself.
If you can take time off, do that. But therapy/talking to someone may help.
If you’re giving all of your self to others, when do you make time to care for yourself? Spend more time doing things you enjoy.
Thank you for all you do. For your compassion. I pray you find a peace of mind and calmness in the midst of all of this.
Know that you are not alone. Focus on intense self care on your off time. Limit (eliminate ?) social media and news. Control what you can and pray about the rest. Talk to someone. Keep telling yourself that you are doing all you can…because you have been. Give yourself Grace.
What area of the hospital do you work in? If you’re ICU/tele, consider getting a PACU or OR job in a surgery center. Entirely different vibe.
How can you go from tele to PACU? Any tips ?
I'm so very sorry. If you can, get a massage from someone who also is into cranial sacral therapy. It's amazing.
Thank you for everything that you do. Sometimes it gets overwhelming and that’s okay but it’s not okay if the people around you don’t see it and aren’t helping. Just know that a lot of people are alive because of you, we appreciate you and are praying for you.
First please know you are not alone and you are not to blame; does hospital offer support services, counseling? Consider a visit with your personal physician, maybe some time off.
Taking time off is crucial. Call in sick and don’t feel guilty about it. See what leave of absence programs you might be eligible for - eg, FMLA, reasonable accommodation under the ADA (reminder that many people have invisible disabilities that qualify that they may not even be aware they qualify for - depression, migraines, IBS for starters). If you have a therapist - or any healthcare provider you trust - they can assist you with advocacy/paperwork to support your need for extended time off. I really recommend doing this - it’s the only way I’ve survived this long in healthcare.
And keep reminding yourself that it’s okay to not be okay and to not be operating at your full capacity; the effects of the trauma of living and working through a pandemic in an industry with the most exposure to the impact of the virus will be hitting us for years to come. We are not meant to be cogs in a machine or tools of capitalism - healthcare should be a right and not a privilege so the fact that it’s monetized and expects us to crank out productivity is antithetical to caring for others. So prioritize rest for yourself, since this world won’t do it for you. ❤️
