I made the same leap a few years ago, and honestly, it was the best decision I ever made. Sure, the pace is slower, but that doesn't mean it's boring. You'll have the opportunity to dive deeper into projects, build stronger relationships with colleagues, and actually have a life outside of work. The culture is definitely more relaxed, but that doesn't mean you won't be challenged. You'll be using your skills in new and exciting ways, and you'll finally have the time to focus on professional development and personal growth.
The transition can be a bit jarring at first. You'll miss the adrenaline rush of busy season and the constant pressure to perform. But trust me, the peace of mind and work-life balance are worth it. It takes time to adjust to the slower pace, but you'll eventually appreciate the ability to focus on quality over quantity. Embrace the change, and don't be afraid to seek out new challenges within your company as you settle in.
