I’m pending an offer from Visa Inc for a Senior Director role and want to know some guardrails. The recruiter informed me in our very first call that Visa “doesn’t pay cash to bring people on” and alluded to not offering a sign on bonus or RSUs. I have insomnia and am bored so, story time. My first creative “partner” in my college portfolio class was so awful and controlling to work with. It came to the point where I was so anxious, I dropped the class 3 weeks in. Two years and a finished portfolio later, I am proud to say that I get to write copy with an amazing creative team. Today the “partner” now works in account management. I feel like I won? My anxiety has improved so much since then, If anything I want to highlight that.

I have been interviewing for a role and finished the second round. However after running some numbers I don’t think it will pay enough. There is another role the company posted I’m interested in but not sure I’m the most qualified yet (could get some certifications and probably qualify more). How do I not piss off the company if I say I don’t know if I can take this role but I’d be interested in the other role? Or, could I take the role I interviewed for with plans to pivot into the other role?

BIA Briefs: I’m an associate at an immigration law firm. I determined that immigration isn’t for me So I gave the managing partner my 2 weeks. He wants me to wrap up some BIA briefs before I leave however I’m reviewing the record for a lot these and I’m seeing that a lot of the arguments for Asylum, Withhold, and CAT are incomplete. How I’m going to argue that the IC abused its discretion or misapplied the law when we made a facially insufficient argument for relief?

Hi. After an H1B petition is withdrawn, who receives the notice of revocation? Beneficiary or petitioner? And if the beneficiary has another approved I-797 and the notice of revocation is not received by them, does that cause issues at the border at the time of re-entry?
