Almost 2 years of job hunt has started to break me!!!! Wife is leaving telling kids that I'm eating their college savings while I was the one who was paying mortgage, insurance, hoa and the list goes on... n while I earned more than her ($30k to $40k gap) for 14 years!!!

I was part of the GE Healthcare team for about 19 years and survived endless org restructures and shuffles. But finally as GE spin-off into 3 new companies, I was part of the 8th round of people who had to be let go.

Has anyone diversified and invested in govt bonds? What’s the yield like? Is there a lock-in term?
