Anyone else miserable at IBM? Waiting to hit my year mark so I can quit without giving back my bonus
Got my year end review and salary negotiations coming up. I wanted to see how people would approach it, given my situation.
Anyone take a look at the Deloitte Risk and Financial Advisory (RFA) scandal that's brewing? The 2018 comp and aip/bonus was horrendous because the RFA CEO siphoned $50MM to the himself and partners
I’m a senior in advisory at a B4 firm. I’m aiming for partner, but secretly would like to be part of firm leadership. Is there anything I should do differently on my way up the ladder?
Senior associate / consultant salary range in Toronto, CA? Also what would could be monthly savings i could be looking at?
So what percentage of B4 is taking Adderal to get through all the work? Been taking it recently and it’s a godsend
Can I get an honest opinion this offer? I think I'm doing well but wanna check: 1) F100 company 2) 123K total comp tier 3 city (LCOL - Dallas/Houston/Charlotte/Philly) 3) 27, 4YOE, MS degree
Pros/cons of going in-house? Does it really end up being fewer hours/more predictable or is it just a good way to lower earning capacity? For context, I am currently at an AmLaw 200 firm and will be considered for partner next comp cycle.
When should comp become #1 priority when thinking of switching companies? I've always switched companies based on: type of work > wlb > comp. Now I am starting to think I'm underpaid given my background: 9 YOE all in tech. I'm at 130k MCOL, some of my peers are currently between 180-220k 😑
How does BCG view Deloitte experience hires? Am I at a disadvantage going from Big 4 consulting firm to MBB rather than from industry? Side note I’m at a pre MBA level (~3 years exp), thanks!
I’ve just been told our 10% pay cut will be in place until the “end of the year at the latest”. WTF. I earn ya average account director salary 😐
My friend is looking for a M&A Tax person for an IB Director role in Columbus, OH. They’re willing to relocate & comp is $120k+ w/ 30% bonus. Anyone interested or know of anyone looking? (E-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org)
Having read the Outward Mindset from the Arbinger Institute I wonder if any of you have used it in your business to help with a cultural mind shift? If so, do you have thoughts you can share? Thanks!!
Is it a shitty move to leave a temp to perm role after a few weeks for a straight full time role ?
Human capital consultant/senior consultant case interview sample prompts/questions and answers? How do I best prepare for case interviews besides practicing on Deloitte’s website?
The awkward moment that you are talking with someone two years above you and you both find out that you are making more comp then them....
Last 2 weeks with the firm. Thinking of purchasing a 6 month gym membership. If I were to submit for the 75% reimbursement through Wage Works (Quality of Life) would it go through since I’m leaving?
Is the new Southwest card with companion pass all it claims to be? Anyone have reasons for or against the card? Thanks!
I am a colour blind Design Director. I've only found that out last year and I'm looking for people with the same disability working with design, anyone?
Does anyone in Big 4 tech consulting ever get into H/S? I feel like I don't stand a chance... just got a 740 GMAT
Healthcare .. West Monroe Partners is recruiting heavily, lemme know if interested, will post a burner
I’m on vacation to help with my deteriorating mental health. But I just had more anxiety attacks than ever. I feel so disappointed? at myself that I can’t even go on vacation. Like it’s literally just spending money and I can’t even manage that? Am I too weak to the point that I can’t even leave my apartment? I used to do a ton of solo traveling
On a working group & looking for suggestions - What does your firm do regarding diversity and inclusion?
Left executive role in industry to follow a dream and open a new company. It didn’t go quite as well as planned. Fast forward three years and I joined a large consulting firm as a way back in. It’s painful. I’m in a “leadership” role, but consider myself a worker bee. Even though opening my own thing was the best thing I’ve ever done in terms “knowing what I want”, it’s not valued in industry. The Q is will consulting get better or should I take a lower level industry job (VP) and call it a day?
If older desi consultants (and above) stopped being such over achievers, working weekends, unimaginable timelines, etc we wouldn’t be fighting for WLB all the time. Change starts at the top.
