Dumb to leave if no amazing offer in hand, definitely worth sticking out
I wonder this every day!
Without knowing your specifics, would hard to advocate leaving before having promo in hand. You’ve worked hard to get there, 3 months is nothing
Also, if you ever wanted to go back to Accenture, they’d see you left as Manager, not SC, and you wouldn’t have to fight that title
Currently in the last round of interviews for a new opportunity but having the feeling the salary they will offer will not compare to what I could be making in a few months. I currently make 130k as a consultant
@A2 that’s an amazing offer! What company and what role? Wow
What other offer do you have in hand? If you got an attractive offer from MBB or FAANG and you're wondering if staying at accenture is better, take the offer. If you got a lateral offer from big 4, don't take the offer. If you are just starting, then no worries, as by the time you get an offer (it can take months), you could have the promo anyway.
Quick tip. You need 2, maybe at least 1, years as manager to be taken seriously for management roles elsewhere. If you just got promoted, other firms may want you to start a level lower to learn how they do things then move over.
Saw a new message from OP. The opportunity you're interviewing for isn't financially attractive enough to merit leaving if a promotion will pay you more than they're offering. If you can't justify moving because the work, wlb, industry or something else is better, stay where you are and recruit again in a few months.
I left another firm at the milestone of partnership, you do you and keep growing. Take care of yourself and family first
Depends on what your other offer looks like. Got any details?
What do you make now?

Yes, for asking this to anon strangers. Please leave if you feel like. I am sure you’ll have your reasons to consider the move despite the upcoming promotion / pay raise. Go with your conviction.

I would work really hard for the next 4 weeks, then take some pto end of august or sep. you should stick it out. Much better to recruit as a M for better exits, if you want to leave.
OP just to echo what M1 said, are you happy at accenture and willing to stay longer after M role? I’ve also heard going elsewhere as a newly promoted M doesn’t mean you’ll automatically be an M there at the time. Sometimes the company wants to see you at M level a year or two after. I’ve also heard exiting at M can be tough.
It’s all based on your personal career goals.
