As someone who sees the cost of benefits and has seen the cost of office Christmas parties…
You are not going to get much extra in benefits for the cost of that party. Lighten up a little and have a good time.
Nah, I love a good holiday party. As long as it's not extravagant or over the top, I'm really thankful for those events. Let's us know each other a little better.
The events don't typically cost that much and the companies usually have a set fund for those. I get where you're coming from though.
One time expenses are cheaper than salaries or comp packages. But, I agree with the others here, if the company throws a party, then why not have a good time. I am a senior leader at a company that throws a nice holiday party every year at various locations. I encourage my teams to partake and have a great time letting off some steam. Besides, the bar is fee, so why not.
