Disney Streaming Services I completed my interview process with DSS early last week, and was reached out by recruiter that all rounds were strong hires, and they are extending an offer. We set a time to talk on Friday about the offer. However, the announcement of targeted hiring freeze happened on Friday. I was ghosted with no call. What should I expect now? Would I still have chance to be offered?

To be honest you’d have to model or mirror that behaviour we want them to adopt, we often too busy and just bark orders but if you grab a ball or go outdoors to do something together on consistent bases the kid will learn, trust me they watch us and mimic.
If reading is good, make a point to walk and discuss books periodically
I’m so glad my parents forced me into sport. They told me I have to try something so didn’t say I had to play any sport in particular. That way I tried a few and then chose the one I liked. Still play it to this day.
I used to have the same problem. I realized I had to be more active and make outdoor stuff fun. So we introduced rewards - favorite dessert, snack etc - into hikes, basketball games, tennis and so on. Kids are pretty active now and we have incredibly fond memories from our outings.
Having said all that, sounds like your kid has good habits - how the heck can one go wrong with drawing, reading?!?! - and you should encourage and treasure them while adding others.
Parenthood is hard … we learn as we go and no matter how good our kids are, we tend to isolate and focus on the challenges they have. It’s absolutely fine for them to do what they want to, and not feel bad about doing them.
I tickle them to make them do monkey bars and tag until they can't breath nor lift their arms anymore, but they are strong as apes and have high tolerance of ticklishness. Oh and also my wife yells at me all the time to take them to the park, so yeah we out a lot. Most teenagers today cannot do a full round of monkey bars, or more than 10 pushup, or a proper cartwheel. generation w for weak.
You need to ‘encourage’ them into something. The kids that went on to love sport the most are typically the ones whose parents pushed them into sport and drove them to all the games etc.
Take away video games and force them into sports
Second what D1 said
I have the same challenge and I work out so that my son could follow. It has given me good results
And why exactly won't you force him into sports? You certainly forced him into this life, didn't you? If you know something is good for him and he clearly doesn't know it, why won't you do your job and actually parent? Gently, force him into sports. This isn't optional son. Your playing video games is conditional on your doing sports. If your son only wanted to eat cheerios, would you sit back and let him do just that? Give him 2,3 options based on what you can afford getting to regularly. And better his life significantly.
