In India practice hikes depend on your performance, and other parameters like client feedback. So you can expect 10-15% on average. WLB is harder in big4 firms. Though your offer seems to be less at EY, If I were you, I would pick hometown as well rather than other location, Unless other company you have offer from is an product based or startup with better perks, wlb and exposure skillwise . If money is a constraint Try to renegiotiate with EY as well in subtly way with HR , most likely they will pay u more given big 4 firms are hiring alot lately.
All thanks to you for giving me the push! I think even for me YoE I'm in a good shape now. Couple of years here and then can look out.
It is very low in terms of EY standard. EY generally pay you around 15 lakh for your experience.
The offer is not even 2 times your YOE. You are being lowballed with this.
Hello Fishies... Can you help here to know if EY is paying less as it looks like reading this post...got total 11 years of experience in consulting and has been offered 14 lpa with 10% variable which is not even mentioned in the offer letter... How much I am falling short of in context with EY standard of salary!? Please need suggestions.
I get your pain. It does seem that EY is hiring for less these days. Honestly, they were offering 10lpa to me but I negotiated upto 11 somehow.
However, money is always subjective. There will always be people out there earning more than you. So better not compare directly on the money front. The other things also come into picture like brand, work location, job security etc.
