I heard there is a system which tracks how many hours you are working in Credit Suisse .

If you are away from the system, it will track that too. Just out of curiosity , does it really track and micromanage you? 😂

I have used butterfly needles for phlebotomy since the beginning of my Nursing career. I recently switched jobs and my current employer doesn’t want to buy butterfly needles as they are more expensive than the straight needles. They have asked that we start using the straight needles and even took away the last butterfly needles we had. I feel anxious and uncomfortable doing phlebotomy on everyone with the straight needle. Should I mention this to my manager? How can I approach this situation?

Has anyone considered opening a franchise? I would love to transition from law to business but have zero experience and am thinking a franchise may be the best option. I doubt I’ll do it this year during the pandemic but want to start exploring this as an option.

Big law finance associate looking to make a move. Haven’t received recruiter calls recently, does that mean I shouldn’t even try?

Second year considering leaving NY biglaw for a few public interest options. Partly for mental health reasons. Making market, and I would potentially leave for a starting position offering around / a bit over $80k. Holding out currently to see what else arises. Fortunately I don’t have much debt, and that’s enough to cover my basic rent/living expenses, but not by much. Has anyone made a jump like that before? How did you manage financially if so? Living in this city ain’t cheap🙃

So I'm a first-year associate at a big law firm practicing insurance defense. The work is beyond demanding, and I have over 100 cases to manage. I am working ungodly hours, and the work product isn't getting any better. My partner just cut the amount of work that I am to receive, and I am beginning to have doubts about staying with the firm and moving on to something else. Has anyone else had this experience, if so I would love to heed some advice from others

Looked to exit prosecution work into a different field. Felt like I didn’t want to practice law anymore and was burnt out. Wanted to do something corporate with a lot of advancement opportunities. Started looking at contract negotiation and contract drafting for major defense contractors. A lot of opportunities out there. Just got a job at Collins Aerospace.

I’m an associate looking to make a career move to a bigger city -New York, Chicago, Seattle, etc.- not super picky, just looking for a change and a challenge. Coming from a firm where I’ve done quite a bit - litigation, family law, and soft IP. Wanting to move into an IP centered role but I’m open to staying with litigation or family law as well. Mostly want to get out of my current city. Any advice?

There’s nothing inherently wrong or toxic about my firm/my job…but I still feel unsatisfied. I thought I would like marketing/working directly with the public to acquire cases but I don’t ☹️ I also hate the adversarial nature of litigation. Any one else felt this way? What did you do?
