Bain & Company Hi, can anyone help me with (1) the salary bands for ‘Associate consultant’, ‘Senior Asc consultant’ to ‘Consultant’? (2) where does the ‘Junior consultant’ role offered at ISB fall in the hierarchy? (3) A graduate with 4Year work experience would be eligible for which role out of the above? Bain & Company

You can switch. Grass isn’t always greener. Plenty of people leave IT Audit for Corp and it’s usually high demand even in down cycles. IA is not always viewed as high growth or as specialized so may be a little step backward in terms of comp trajectory etc.
IT audit is mind numbing and boring, but internal audit isn’t that much better. The good thing about IT Audit is nobody wants to do this shit, so there is always opportunities.
I found operational/ business process IA work to be way more political and requires more people management / department head ego management.
I went IT audit to BP audit back to IT Audit. IT audit is easier and more pay for less stress.
Agreed OP! I just successfully switched out of IT Audit to a more niche role in fraud management. But the grass is certainly not greener with Business Process IA. It is equally as mind numbing as IT Audit (been exposed to both).
It’s way more interest to see the business/financials behind it.
I am not into technology at all so I find it very uninteresting as I go up the rank
