Call EY Assist - they will help you. PM me if you need someone to talk to. We are all here for you hope you are ok.
I work at EY. I would imagine DY has this as well.
And thank you Partner 1 for your words. I’m okay, just a lot of stuff I’ve been suppressing for so long and it’s time to stop putting it off and talk to somebody. It’s scary but I’m hopeful things will get better!
That’s great OP. We all face different challenges. Some more private than others. Hopefully you can find your way forward. Find comfort in those that care about you and best of luck.
This can seem really overwhelming but good on you for looking for one. On your HR benefits page there should be a link to your insurance provider where you can look up healthcare providers that are in network. Usually you can see if there’s a pattern of a bunch associated to a particular practice. Phone numbers should be listed on your insurance site but you can also just google the practice. I recommend starting out w a practice that has a lot of providers because they can help get you scheduled sooner and match you with someone that meets the areas you need help with. If you call and they’re not taking patients or have a very long wait (can be common, unfortunately), ask if they have recommendations for others you can try and call. Then check your insurance website again to see if they’re in network. Best of luck to you, went through this myself last year and it was very daunting to make the call but so worth it.
Thank you for such a descriptive explanation, SA 1. I found a pattern of a few people at a practice that says it’s in network and close to my home. Im going to try to build the courage to call this week.
just a heads up that insurance companies are notoriously bad at keeping their mental health provider lists up to date. would very much recommend looking at other firm resources as well or even your local HR might have a resource of local names. try not to get discouraged, finding help can be difficult.
Most companies participate in an EAP, which is a great way to “test” therapists to find the right one. You call a number, tell them what issues you’re facing, and they help you find a therapist. Best part is your first several visits are free, and you can call back after those visits with a “new” problem and get more free visits or a different therapist. Definitely worth looking into.
No, when I went through our EAP, I called a 800 number, told them what I needed a therapist for, and they found someone in my area that was available at the times I needed. I physically met with the therapist.
At EY and my therapist is out of network (many are). But I get reimbursed and it’s a pretty easy process. Good luck!
Can you explain more how you get reimbursed? Just found out the therapist I was interested in is actually out of network.
