Yea I wish I took more vacation off but this upcoming year I bought an extra week so hopefully I don’t run into the burnout wall I hit hard this previous year.
I took a full week so feeling recharged
My motto has always been never burn PTO for the holidays. Most places shut everything down in December anyway. That's been my experience. And we always get the "feel free to leave early" email from the CEO. Now for your case, just make sure you take your PTO as soon as possible. Starting the year with burnout is not a great place to start.
I didn’t take a lot of time off this year either, figuring the workload would be light anyways. While it hasn’t been terribly busy around here, still not feeling the best over it and kind of wishing I would have taken off a week at least. Just trying to look forward to and plan some time off after this.
Same
I am right there with you OP. I didn't take any additional time off and I am really regretting it because I am exhausted and just mentally drained.
