I received an offer from a company. They have mentioned Rs 850000 as base pay but employer's annual contribution is just Rs 21000. Shouldn't it be 12% of basic? Is it wrong? Also in his CTC statutory bonus is mentioned, will it be given to him in his monthly salary?

Wow, that’s crazy to me that there are so much negative experiences. Both me and my wife had it and it was the best $7000 (each) we’ve spent. Neither of us has had any issues. Feels like magic to wake up with 20/20 vision.
Thank god I didn’t read this forum before getting LASIK or else I never would’ve done it. I’m pretty risk conservative and any chance of life long vision issues would have deterred me.

Exactly 💯 its as if 20 progress in the procedure never happened.
I just got LASIK in January and it’s been a life changing experience. My vision was bad though (-5 with astigmatism). I think it’s not worth it for those with vision better than -2. Plan to pay for it using a portion of your FSA or HSA.
Mine was -8! They weren’t even sure they could correct it fully, but that was an acceptable risk to me. Honestly, it was a life-changing procedure. No more crawling around on the ground like Velma after knocking my glasses off the nightstand.
One note - I got it done in my early 20s with the rationale that I thought I’d be able to heal more easily in my youth. 10 years in, pretty much 0 side effects, and still one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
I got PRK about 10 years ago and love the results. Highly recommend doing your research into the procedure and the doctor because it made me feel a lot more at ease. PRK involves lasering the top of the eye and not creating a flap (which freaked me out.) I just went to the eye doctor after many years and am still 20/20 (which will change as my eyes age and I will eventually need reading glasses). PRK usually costs more than LASIK and the healing time is longer but it was worth it for me and I love it!

Yes. I absofuckinglutely love it. Best 6500 I've ever spent. I've been in glasses for 30+ years. Let me tell you I love not having to reach for glasses or have them fog. I had a consult and 30 minutes later it was done. PRK is great. Manhattan Lasik Center did a great job and had excellent financing.
There’s a reason ophthalmologists don’t get the surgery done. Please do your research. My brother had it done 2 years ago and really regrets it. Between the pain and halos, it wasn’t worth it.
Conversely, I think Amazon brings up a great point. After being the unlucky minority % of a procedure gone horrifically wrong, I learned my lesson to always google worst case scenarios from now on, at least when it comes to completely optional and largely unnecessary things like this. Risk vs reward is an important factor in my own decision making now as I have been on the other side of it. In general, now I try not to experiment or mess with my body as much as I used to, and feel like I have a second chance to let it just do what it’s meant to do 🙃

I want to get it but my eye doctor says that my prescription needs to be stable for 5 years before i can get it. Then she said it would get worse again when i am like 40-45 so lasik might not be worth it.
eyes got a teensy bit worse during covid when i was 3 years without a change 😩
I had LASIK 2 years ago and it was the best decision I’ve ever made! I did a lot of research before committing and I love it. Being able to see without glasses still seems crazy some days.
I had it done when I was 18 and it was the best thing I ever did. Sorry to see others had bad experiences but I got glasses in fifth grade and hated contacts. I’m 25 now and still have great vision, it was life changing for me!
3rd grade for me. The same as my mom. Happy you had a pleasant experience.
I know a few people who now have chronic pain from lasik and regret the surgery. A large number of people unalive themselves from lasik complications.. might want to research that first
I had lasik 4 years ago and wouldn’t recommend it.
One thing they don’t tell you - they change the shape of your eye, and it takes a really long time for your eye muscles to adapt to your new eyesight. It makes it a lot harder for your eyes to focus (imagine a digital camera whose auto-focus is broken). After many eye doctors, I found one who figured it out and prescribed me $800 glasses to try to relax my eye muscles and allow for a correction. Not fun!
There are also daily inconveniences - your eyes are a lot more dry, and driving at night is harder even if you’re lucky enough to not get halos (look it up).
Final thing - if you do go for it, ask for Xanax or something. You’re awake and it’s fuckin terrifying.
Was planning on getting it for years but after multiple family members had bad experiences I no longer am interested. My father had to have multiple sessions and went from wearing glasses occasionally to having to wear them at all times.
I’m looking at getting SMILE surgery instead of LASIK. Sounds less invasive.
I didn’t quality for SMILE due to the level of my astigmatism and was advised the downtime for PRK would be a longer (and more painful). Definitely worth getting a consult to see what they say!
Yes do it do it do it! Best decision ever! Highly recommend it!
LASIK is worth it, and yes, it does boost your confidence. The best thing for me was not worrying about breaking or losing my glasses which is a great relief!
YES!! Best decision I ever made. Honestly it was worth every penny. I love not having to wear my glasses or contacts.
One get ICL eye surgery? I went in for a consult and that’s what I’m qualified for but haven’t gone through with it. I’m nervous about it.
I did. Worth it but find a surgeon you can trust, don’t use one of the big brands
