Advice needed: looking to leave public accounting and tax for good. I have two offers between a financial analyst and an accountant role. Based on your experience, which of the two has the best/better exit opportunities (should I decide to pursue the finance realm or something else) and better work life balance? The bigger pay as an analyst is tempting, but the company benefits are meh.

Anybody familiar with the Fisher Investments sales role? They give you a salary first 2 years plus commission, but the only thing that I don’t like is they no longer pay the trail on any account you open after 3 years. How are 1st year litigation associates dealing with WFH? I’ve been having terrible anxiety/panic attacks, and pretty sure my billables wont exceed 110 for April. I’ve been super stressed about it and don’t know how to move on to May with the proper mindset to make up for as much time missed as possible. Would love some insight on how you went from an HR assistant/coordinator to an HR Generalist. I’ve been in the HR world for 8 years, and only in the last 2-3 have I really done real HR work. The first company I was at didn’t have a solid HR team so I don’t really count that. I feel like I’m ready to take on more responsibility and learn more. And of course make more money.

I have looked into getting SHRM certification. But should I go back to school and get my masters in Hr?

Should you discuss salary range with an internal company recruiter prior to setting up an interview? With external recruiters it’s pretty easy to talk about the expected range. I am trying to avoid wasting all of our time if i get to the last interview and they are expecting a salary that is too low for me.
