Hello, I have an offer from Publicis Sapient for their product management internship program. Wondering if anyone has any insight into the program (exits, etc) and how the return offer looks like in terms of salary. I still also hold an interest in data science so might go with another offer but I’m not sure if it is a wise choice to let go of a PM offer while I have it.

Yes! That’s where I am but the jobs I’ve held have all been in roles that I feel are odd. I’ve worked in ops for about 8 years but nothing I would consider myself an expert in but I’m already too far in my career to go for entry level roles
I def have. I can shift and adapt in any environment. Something my “odd” jobs taught me!
How did you make the transition to fractional CFO?
Same here. I work in a marketing world but a similar path has just opened up to me and I'd love to learn from your experience.
Staff accountant in Dalton Ga. I am not even an accountant. Finance major out of college two years only working as staff accountant because it is my only option. stuck as staff accountant and only skill i have is simple excel formulas.
Well to go back and understanding accounting more or completely switch careers. Chattanooga is a small city and most companies want to see experience and accounting at that. I don’t really know my luck if i moved to a larger city like atlanta or nashville. Could be more of the same or different and i have applied to jobs in those markets. You are right i can see how i am impatient but from my growth and development i can see where i’m going is not pretty.
Working in Finance and Accounting for 12 years with a Master degree in Finance and for a Controller position Recruiter and companies asked for a CPA certification.
Geez . . Certifications, etc are fine but what you can do matters more IMO. It’s definitely true in my area where companies and people care way more about what you can do and the results you can deliver.
After working as Senior Analyst, Supervisor and Manager in MNCs in India, now struggling to get a entry level jobs in Canada. For entry level, I’m more experienced and for senior level I do not have local experience.
Given that you worked for MNCs in India, what local experience do you feel (or you’re being told) you’re lacking? I would expect your skills to transfer almost 1:1.
As for me I feel stuck, I have a degree in finance since may 2017. So while I was finishing my last semester I started working a teller which was a way for me to make it through since I'll need a sponsor to get my license. Unfortunately that didn't work as planned, most of the role i applied to never seems to work out since they don't see it as enough experience. So now I'm on a job hunt hoping to find something in finance, if that doesn't work I'm going to transition to IT. Any advice please
I only have banking experience and learn about data entry. As for IT it has always been a field that I wanted to dive into,
I’ve had a few different analyst roles over the years and am now a consultant level at my company. I’m making around $90k, but I don’t see a path to significantly more money and my current job is kind of dry. The logical progression would be to get to management on my team but I don’t think I would enjoy that any more than what I’m doing and the money would not be that much better for the extra work I’d be signing on for.
Yes definitely. That’s actually what I’ve been thinking about. The path that I’ve been considering is financial planning for individuals but I’m not sure what other options are out there. Do you have any suggestions?
