I’m looking at an offer and want make sure I’m in line with the average comp for the company and industry. Only 4 months of experience and offer is 98k w/ 10-20% bonus plus 15k relo/ sign on. Looking at Glassdoor, bonuses seem higher than quoted by the hiring manager. (No written offer yet they say they’re still working on it)

Not a helpful response, colleague.
We have quite a few former Big4/ACN. Mileage varies obviously, but the ones I know personally don’t regret the move. Enjoy the work, benefits are better and overall more lenient policies (eg not tracking utilization as a core KPI)
I’ve seen non-strat folks do it. McK seems to grab lots of non-strat people from Big 4.
The only strat folks I’ve seen do it went to a top 7 business school, had good grades and a high GMAT.
In other words, MBB has a recruiting model that they use, and applying within it is the easiest way to get in for strat.

I have a colleague who joined from Deloitte but only after business school. Enjoys it a lot in terms of staffing and not tracking utilization
